Scouting Report: Excellent speed and good ability to get on base. Switch hitter with extremely quick hands. Great plate discipline. Gets to a lot of balls in the field, but apt to making throwing errors. Learning English quickly.

If hes in the MLB at 21,22 it won't be with the Red Sox, or else as a backup but I don't see them taking a 22 year old prospect as a backup. Too bad for the kid that Hanley is coming up through the system, since hes clearly our guy. Christian could be good trade bait in a few years however...

Lara had the fortune to go to Cooperstown to play in the Hall of Fame game earlier in the week. He replaced Mark Bellhorn at second base early in the game, and went 1 for 2 with a run scored.
