OK Red Sox part owner Tom Werner winds up with the ball Bill Mueller hits into the bleachers in the 5th inning.
What I want to know is..how did he talk Katie Couric to sit in the bleachers????

"Katie, honey......Why dont we, ah ha ha, sit in the bleachers today????I mean, ah ha ha, we can mingle with the little people, ah ha ha, maybe you can report on it as a story for work....Come on snookums, it will be fun,ah ha ha ah ha ha ahh ha ha ha"...........o O"man if I can get away with this we can increase our revenue next year......Standing in the runway is way cheaper than those seats behing home plate.....and the chicks are cuter too....."

BTW that last part was just a sad attempt at me being funny....once again.

Funny topic - My wife and I had a discussion about this fact yesterday while watching the NESN broadcast. My better half has not watched more than an inning of baseball on TV in her life. The best answer I could come up with may have been that it appeared to be pretty cold at the game (game time temp in the low 60's?). Maybe Katie wanted to catch some rays in Right Field versus sitting in the shade any where else...

Perhaps Katie doesn't want to be killed on her way into work in the morning because of being seen rooting for the Sox in a more well-covered part of the ballpark?

whatever the reason, I couldn't help but think it was pretty cool to see one of the owners sitting in the bleachers. Somewhat different to that guy in NY with his private office.
