Just got my WS Champs T-shirt from mlb.com. Lists roster of players for WS--and there's no Kevin! Is this because of the replacement player issue from wayy back? Seems incredibly petty to me...also no Youkie but Mendoza's there?

Millar isn't officially part of the MLBPA because he played during the 94 strike and crossed the picket lines. There's a group of them that did that. I know Dauber, Damian Miller, Merloni, and Brendan Donnelly are a few others.

As for Youks, I think maybe they were using the ALCS roster instead of the WS roster.

I didn't know Millar wasn't in the players' association.....I think now I finally understand why KFM doesn't show up in my Triple Play 2001 PC game.....I was wondering why he wasn't in it, because that game used the '99 rosters, and if I'm not mistaken KFM played in over 100 games for the Marlins that year.

I don't think it is petty, at least from the team. That shirt probably has to be cleared by the MLBPA, who probably are petty enough to demand that his name isn't on the shirt since it is an MLBPA licensed product

my old man picked up a sox championship shirt and he says it has all the players names on the front on little pennants. has anyone else seen this shirt to see whether or not is has kevin and youk?
oh and millar isn;t on espn baseball 2004 either. cool thing is they changed his number to 16 and called him tim winnegar! just thought that was kinda funny

Yeah, he's not in MVP Baseball 2004 either. They don't replace him at all. Barry Bonds isn't in the game also, but the Giants have a white LF named Jim Dowd who puts up parallel numbers.

yeah there are alot of guys on these shirts that were never on the playoff roster, such as Ricky Gutierrez. they don't care about accurrate though, oh and terry adams too. who would want him on there anyway.

There are a few WS items for sale that do include Millar on them. Saw a T-Shirt at a Bob's Store with his name and number on it. However, these items are not offical MLB stuff. They probably won't be on sale for much longer if they haven't already been taken off the shelves.

On a side note Barry Bonds is also a player blacklisted by the MLBPA. Thats why he is never in any baseball video games.

Barry isn't blacklisted from the MLBPA. He choose to remove himself from the general marketing agreement in order to generate more revenue for himself as opposed to getting a small slice of it as under the MLBPA rules for blanket licensing deals. Barry markets himself individually since he realizes he has enough clout on his own to get a good deal unlike some of the bench players and lower tier guys that need the MLBPA licensing agreement to get decent deals on their image and likeness.
