ROCKS WELCOME NEW MANAGER AND RED SOX TO WILMINGTON

Wilmington, DE--- The Wilmington Blue Rocks have announced that Dann Bilardello has been named by the Boston Red Sox as the club’s field manager for the 2005 Carolina League season. Bilardello, 45, begins his first season as a manager in the Boston minor league system and becomes Wilmington’s eighth full-time manager in franchise history. Arthur “Ace” Adams will serve as Wilmington’s pitching coach in 2005 while the hitting coach is still to be determined.

The Santa Cruz, CA native comes to the Red Sox organization after spending the last three years as a manager in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization. He has a three-year managerial record of 180-169 (.516) in the Dodgers system.
