Did any of you read Michael Silverman's column in today's Boston Herald? "Setback Won't Deter Bombers" This column sounds like one I read in the New York papers last week. It's a real rah-rah piece that if the Yankees get Randy Johnson, the Red Sox will have no answer for it and are basically finished for 2005. He also says that Carlos Beltran is also in the bag for the Yankees as well. I'm surprised he didn't take out his "NY" pom-poms out of the closet........

What's with this guy? I also read the crap he wrote last week about how this was a terrible off-season for the Red Sox. This guy sounds like a soulmate of Bill Madden and Filip Bondy of the New York Daily News, two horseshit sportswriters who dump on the Sox every chance they get, and gloat when things go badly for them. They are both clearly on Steinbrenner's payroll. It makes me wonder if Silverman is also......

Silverman,I think is a Yankee suck-up. The biggest piece of s--t is Kevin Kernan. Someone must have stolen his lunch money in school.

They say that politicians and lawyers are the lowest form of life (my apologies to any lawyers out there), but I now believe that sportswriters are a close third, and gaining........

Harvey Araton of the NY Times also seems to have a knack for "sticking it to the sox" in his pieces as well. There is always a bit of a bite in what he writes.

Sounds a little doom and gloom, but I think he's on point.
