Hey Guys,

Not sure if this is the right place or not but I was wondering if anyone has a copy of the jpeg or pdf file of the NY Daily News cover after game 7 with A-Rod on the front and the headline "The Choke's On Us". If so can you post it or e-mail it to me. Thanks in advance.

Might check here; there are tons of front pages to papers. Piney posted this a while ago.

The inside page of the daily news was just as classic, with a full page picture of babe ruth crying.

Ya I think the Globe had a page on their website that had images from a bunch of papers in NY and around New England. I wonder if they still have the page up...

I'll never understand why The NY Daily News showed The Babe with tears in his eyes. Which team would he have fit in with more if he were playing in 2004? The "stuffed shirt, corporate" Yankees, or the "fun-loving, wild and crazy idiot" Red Sox?

The Babe would have been the "Head Idiot" and he would have loved hanging with guys like Big Papi, Manny and Kevin Millar.

I prefer thinking he was shedding "tears of joy"......

And I'll keep that front cover forever.........

Without a doubt, the Red Sox highlight of the last half century.

I understand Henry has a framed copy hanging in his office.

gotta love it!

As much as I loved the WS and ALCS victories, the collapse of the MFY gave me much more satisfaction. Seeing AROD with that "I'm angry, but I might cry look" after game 7 ended was classic.
