Timlin's Starting?
RedSoxAnni
That's what I got from the local press... The game is on WEEI, so we'll soon all find out.

Timlin is starting....but keep in mind this is Spring Training...it doesn't exactly matter. He'll probably only get an inning or two in. It'll be fun to listen to anyway.

I'm gonna predict these things

-Sox will win 10-4
-Simon Pond and Kevin Youkilis will hit HRs
-Trot Nixon will make a nice catch
-We'll hear the words "WAYBACK" at least once, whether it be falsely or true
-BC will actually put up a bit of a fight
-McCarty will pitch an inning

*note: These are guesses. If they don't happen, don't hurt me*
Cudahy
Only Nixon and Millar are regular starters. We used 5 in the NU game.
Cudahy
4-0 after the 1st inning. The nervous BC pitchers walked in 3 runs.
Cudahy
Embree pitching the 2nd
Cudahy
6-0 after 2 innings. RBI triple by Shoppach.
Mantei pitches the 3rd.
Cudahy
Mantei gives up a hit and a walk, but strikes out the side.
Cudahy
8-0 after 3 innings. Delcarmen pitching the 4th. Lombard hit a triple.

After beating up on Northeastern, I am sure most are looking forward to tomorrow's game. It is already 8-0 Red Sox and other than giving these college players a thrill of a lifetime there is not much use for these games. I guess it gives the pitchers some innings to work on some thing. But it is a tradition. rslogosmall.gif

Looks like Manny DelCarmen is not quite ready for prime time.

After 3 1/2, Boston 8, BC 5.

Ok Let me be the FIRST to say this in 2005:

WTF is Francoma doing putting that stiff DelCarmen in the game? They lose this game and the season is pretty much over.

DO SOMETHING THEO!!!!

Cudahy
The 1st sox pitcher to struggle this spring.
Cudahy
10 to 5 after 4. Since it's a 7 inning game, the Sox will get 2 more at bats.
Cudahy
Dinardo pitches 1-2-3 5th.
Cudahy
Cedeno pitches 1-2-3 sixth.
11-5 bottom of the 6th.
Cudahy
Cedena also pitched the 7th.
Final score 11-5.
Now back to REAL spring training games.
PineTarHelmet
Damn...I was 1 out of 6...one off though in the score(on both ends) however.

I like the fact that Payton is getting off to a good start, hopefully it will continue all year.
