The game is on WSBK, and will be carried on NESN outside of the Boston area.
Bronson Arroyo is pitching for Boston against Eric Milton.

It's my birthday, Bronson. Do me proud!
Predictions for tonight
-Red Sox will win 5-1
-Bronson will pitch well, not exactly unhittable stuff, but well enough
-Manny and Trot will crank one out
-Milton will suck ass
-no errors will be made
-the one run for the Reds will come on a freak error by Youks

holy contradiction...okay I'll go fix that...
-no error will be made
-the only run that will be scored will be on a passed ball

Damn game starts at 6:05, I tune in at 6:07 and it's 2-0. Who jacked one of Milton?

Nice at bat by HanRam, taking a pitch inside to the opposite field for a 2 RBI single. He fell behind but remained patient.

What a bummer! I always get the NESN feed when WSBK covers it and im not today. Now the satellite thinks my account is in Boston, but I get the Seattle locals and not the Boston ones so im outta luck with it. So who knows. I hope this isnt going to be the norm all year when WSBK does the games.

The game is supposed to be on NESN outside of Boston but someone screwed up at Directv. They're showing fishing instead(even though the guide says Boston-Cinncinatti). At least the Cinncinatti radio feed is working.

Listening on (Cincy) radio...
Was it Hanley or Manny that had the RBI single? I think I heard "Manny" but I could be wrong.

He's trying to say "Millar" I'm almost positive. Considering he's almost definitely half-in-the-bag, I'd say he's pretty close all things considered.
Cudahy
Mar 5 2005, 07:42 PM
I heard a coherent sentence - "at the end of 4 it's 5 to 5".
Wilson has struck out 3. I assume it was his 2nd inning.

It looks like the starting lineup was Payton, Vasquez, Manny, Millar, Nixon, Mirabelli, Youkilis, ? , Arroyo.
Empyreal
Mar 5 2005, 07:52 PM
Awesome catch of Youkilis's flying bat by a woman in the stands. And Mirabelli steals 2nd (!). Remy: "He'll be talking about that for a month."
And it's that freaky Ben Webber pitching. Looks like he doesn't have the same extreme windup pump as before.
Still 5-5 at the bottom of the 5th.
Cudahy
Mar 5 2005, 07:54 PM
Luis Mendoza pitching the 5th.
Arroyo gave up 3 runs in the first 2 innings but there were 2 Sox errors so they may not have all been earned.
Cudahy
Mar 5 2005, 07:59 PM
Mendoza has a 1-2-3 5th. I think that's his first spring appearance.

As in the 1st game, Malaska managed to get out of the inning without giving up a run(2 walks).

Malaska also pitching the 8th. Almost all our position players now aren't on the 40 man roster.

Of the 12 pitchers we used today, only Bausher and Mendoza pitched well.

8 to 6 Boston going to the bottom of the 9th. I don't think Cincy expected to have to send a pitcher out there in the bottom of the 9th.
