Watching the game, Youks is looking pretty comfortable at the plate. Also I really like that with the smaller park they can really mic the plate very well. When hitters make contact, you can really hear the bat crack. It's like I can hear winter being knocked away.
Empyreal
Pokey-like catch by the Hornicator. Sweet.

Edited to add: NESN has a great new balls/strikes 9-box grid graphic!

Agreed. I like how you can see the approach pitchers are taking towards individual batters.

Kim looks like he's coming a bit unglued after that hit to Thome.

BK loaded them up, then walked in a run. And got booed. laugh.gif Next pitch, a strike and a big cheer.

Hanley .....TRIPLE PLAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT: Jumped high to snare a liner, stepped on 2nd, and threw to 1st.
LetsGoCrespo
WOW! Hanley! Hanley! Hanley! with the triple play!

The third out went 6-3; it wasn't unassisted. Hanley got the first out with the line drive, then stepped on second for the second out.

I messed up in the excitement biggrin.gif

NESN has also added a spray chart graphic. They've nearly eliminated the need to follow the game along with Gameday.

Ive been watching this game only for a few minutes, but I have already seen a bunch of cool new graphics by NESN. And Youks ties it up 4-4.
ivebeentruped
7th inning stretch, 5-4 Sox.
ivebeentruped
Bottom of the 8th, still 5-4. Phils have one more ups.

Youks is playing first base right now. Made a nice play on a tough hop at first.

Boy, Ryan Howard is a big guy. Reminds me of Ortiz minus a couple pounds.

Is Sveum coaching 3rd today? enraged.gif

No worries...

Sox win 5-4. biggrin.gif

It was good to see Petagine have a good day with the stick. His two hits certainly broke him out of his mini slump. If he can keep his bat going it is going to be very interesting who gets the 25th spot on the roster. rslogosmall.gif

Hmm, there's no category for triple play on that box score... biggrin.gif

Renteria really hit the ball well today. I have been pretty impressed with the younger guys too. They have played hard and done well in the later innings of the games this (early) preseason.
