Game time - 2:05 pm.

Scheduled starters, Bronson Arroyo v. Derek Lowe.

Don't expect too many of the regulars to make the "cross country" trip to Vero Beach. This will be essentially a "B-squad" game with a few exceptions. Ortiz, Nixon, Payton and McCarty are expected to make the trip.

The game is on ESPN, mlb.tv, and LA Dodgers radio via mlb.com

Vero Beach weather at noon: 4,800 scattered, 6,000 broken, visibilty 10 statute miles, temperature 75F, DP 62F, wind out of the southeast at 13 knots.

Forecast: Chance of showers and thundershowers. Welcome to South Florida.

Hah - the Yahoo scoreboard is finally posting Hits and Errors as well as Runs during ST games.

Must mean that OD is getting close............

Is it me, or is Arroyo still throwing a fair bit slower on his fastball than he usually does during the season?
ivebeentruped
Wow, Wooten is S L O W.
ivebeentruped

No kidding.

I'm seeing Pedroia for the first time as well. I'm surprised he is still with the big club. Him and Arroyo have both singled off DLowe here in the 2nd.
OuttaThePahk
That Arroyo hit was CLASSIC! He was crackin up, DLowe is like WTF...loved it! HAHAH!
GreenBud
Youks just hit a 2-run shot off Lowe. Opposite field.

Gary Thorne: "What's different about Pedro not being in Camp?"

Francona: "Nobody's late..."

lol yeah I heard that one too! and then he quickly said "just teasing" he keeps saying that couple of times, maybe he quickly knew that if he didnt say "just teasing" pedro would have bite him back!, but I knew the way Terry has said it, he means it biggrin.gif
BostonSox37
Payton has been killing the ball all spring. He could be the best 4th OF in the majors.
Mayday
Pedroia with an RBI double. Looks decent at the plate for a non power threat. The kind of guy thats nice to have in the line-up for the little things. In a couple of years of course.
CTLovesTheSox
Everyone wearing the same number is confusing the hell outta me.
RedSoxAnni
It's confusing the Dodger announcers, too!

CTLovesTheSox
We just had 2 guys in the field wearing 40 (Lombard and Durbin), 2 wearing 15 (Suarez and I forget the other) and O'Keefe wearing 18.

We win 7-3!

It is Pedroia. There have been a few errors in the spring box scores. The scores need Spring Training, too!

You find errors in regular-season box scores, too (many more than I think one should).
