PORTLAND, Maine -- Dustin Pedroia's bases-loaded double broke a 2-2 tie and drove in the game-winning run as the Portland Sea Dogs beat the Harrisburg Senators 5-4 Thursday in the Eastern League.
Pawtucket 2, Syracuse 0
PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- Lenny DiNardo, Scott Cassidy and Jason Kershner combined on a seven-hitter as the Pawtucket Red Sox shut out the Syracuse SkyChiefs, 2-0, in an International League game Thursday.
Cassidy (3-0) earned the victory by pitching 3 2/3 innings of two-hit ball in relief of DiNardo. He struck out six, walked nobody and threw 41 of his 61 pitches for strikes.
