MOJO** - Cameo Day 2
Cameo mojo rolls on, highlighting a Boston favorite sure to be a hit with at least one RSN mainstay:

Who can forget Cam Neely's memorable turn as misunderstood hick (you wouldn't much like being hit with a salt shaker either) "Seabass" from the Jim Carrey movie
Dumb and Dumber. Of course, this led to a successful cameo career for Cam Neely, later appearing in the Farrely brother's
Me, Myself and Irene as "Officer Sea Bass", and most recently as hockey enforcer "Mungo" on the FX series "
Rescue Me".
There are times for cooler heads and for reasoned discussion. There are times for diplomacy and times for compromise. There are even times for conceding defeat. This is not any of those times.
Kick His Ass, Seabass!

In light of Cam Neely's memorable cameo's, I call upon a memorable cameo from one Gabe Kapler to help lift this Red Sox team over the Rangers. Whether it be a start or a pinch hit or a pinch run. I call upon him to deliver when needed and for him to do what it takes. Even if it has to have him choke a bitch. Like Neely, Kapler is a tough dude who'll choke a bitch if need be, even though he probably wouldn't want to. Unless if it was Tanyon Sturtze. So Gabe, do what you can, and make your cameo a memorable one!

Terry Francona must be related to Millar...I mean for christ sakes we have Jose Cruz Jr. as an OF and he puts a 1st basemen in RF tonight against a righty. Unless Cruz is having some back problems again, I'm not sure why we have Millar in RF. Hmm...
Well, I'm tired of raggin on Millar. Just drop a bomb tonight. Please.

EDIT: Yes, I realize Millar is batting .500 but in two at-bats! Two at-bats is not anything to be overly excited about...

Any news on Bill Mueller? Is he headed tot he DL with the sore elbow that he has wrapped or are his knees acting up again?
EDIT - Why wouldn't Tito play Youks at 3b instead of Cora who looked terrible there the other day?

This is good news.
At least we have a decent replacement for Bill Mueller. If Edgar was hurt we replace him with Cora, if Mueller is hurt we replace him with Youks, who will be the starter next year.

Aug 8 2005, 06:19 PM
I'm guessing Youks got there too late to get the start. When Don and Jerry were announcing the moves, they said he "might be here by game time" right as the camera found him in the dugout. It sounds like things happened late and quickly.
I have no clue what they are doing with Cruz or Mueller. It should be interesting to find out what's up.
NESN just announced that Mueller is day-to-day with back spasms.
Wade Miller still sucks.

Boy, our starting pitching is awesome! Unless Arroyo rebounds and Miller shows us SOMETHING, I don't see how it's physically possible that we win the World Series. Our bullpen isn't even that dominate. With no pitching, how can we win in the playoffs?
Even if Schilling coming back, he's not the Schilling from last year. I mean Miller...two runs in the ****in first inning isn't going to win us ballgames. What the hell happened to the '03 Miller? Hopefully you'll show us something next year.

Well, it's gonna be an uphill climb boys. I'm not worried necessarily about losing to the Rangers or even the Yankees winning, it's just knowning that Arroyo and Miller are going to give up at least 3 runs every game. I knew we shouldn't expect much from Miller, but you'd think he might be a little bit better. It's just dissapointing I guess.

I kind of liked the no-call by the umpire on the throw out. He let him say his words and then sent him to the dugout. Obviously, if he had turned and said one more phrase he would have been gone.
Also, I'll give Pentagine his props. Nice hit to drive in a run by the 1B there. And I'll take the lucky bounces any time with hits like Graffanino got.
