Dustin Hermanson - Relief Pitcher
Dustin Hermanson's back problems are starting to cause issues in the White Sox's bullpen.
Cliff Politte was left in Tuesday's game a little longer than he would have been because Hermanson's back was hurting, and he gave up a homer to Alex Rodriguez in the ninth inning. ''If he had given the indication he could have [pitched], he could have started that inning,'' Politte said. ''But if he's really bothered, then it's something that he has to make up his mind and say that he can or can't go. But it has a ripple effect because everybody kind of does their role and then has another hitter or two in the ninth.''

*since NU isn't here yet and I'm a little paranoid*
From the series that kicked off
Comeuppance Mojo, comes the most beardtastic cameo ever captured on celluloid. When you are in 1888 Hill Valley, who could possibly be the entertainment in the town fair other than ZZ Top?

Is it bad that I know the song they play in this scene, and am hearing it in my head as I write this? The two bearded guys and the one clean-shaven one named Mr. Beard provide a memorable spark to the western installment to the Back to the Future trilogy, and their signature guitar flip is still enjoyable despite the antiquated instruments. All though to be honest, that drummer does look a little silly with just the one snare.
Today's mojo is especially directed at David Wells, as of late it has been the offense carrying the Sox winning streak and frankly, the hitters have mojo out the yin-yang. Getting the pitching on track will make the Sox current hot streak scorch hotter than a Stage 3 red log (seriously, I really like Back to the Future).
Of course, David Wells is not exactly unfamiliar with the world of
cameos.
*Warning: Turn away if you don't wanna lose your lunch*

Piney says: For today's game, I'm calling upon the power of the 'Greek God of Walks', Kevin Youkilis. He's tired of being yo-yo'd and wants to avenge with his bat. May he find a way to cameo into this lineup tonight and have a Graffy-esque game. Either that or at least have a significant pinch hit HR or something. Or even a gamesaving catch. Just as long as he's in there doing something.

So go on "Greek" god of walks, and show us what you're made of.

Francona has been quick to put in players that have been acquired or called up but not this time with Youkilis. I like Mueller but it makes you wonder why we bothered with Youks at this time. I hate to see him rot on the bench when he was hitting in Pawtucket.

Terry Craft has a Strike Percentage of 65.2%, second to Doug Eddings among MLB umpires this year. There's a reason why Kevin Youkilis is sitting this game out--we're not walking to a victory tonight.
Graffanino and Renteria--and, of course, Manny--are the keys to the game, with power from Kapler and Millar a welcome surprise if it comes. For David Wells, the key will be keeping the ball in the park--he should be able to prevent the White Sox from stringing together too many hits or walks in an inning if he doesn't allow home runs.

I'll tell you what...this game is amazing. The White Sox can't score 4 runs against the Yankees during any game of their series and then put up 4 runs against a better pitching staff in 2 innings against us. And our course Buehrle is throwing a friggen no hitter...
If we face the White Sox in the playoffs and do this shit we're done. We have go to hit their pitching because our pitching is just not that consistent.
