A 19 year old in GCL, formerly a SS, Santa has adjusted well to the GCL this season. After leading the Dominican Summer League in homeruns in 2004 with 9 HRs in about 200 at bats, however he didn't hit for a high average. This year in the GCL Santa has put up good numbers in the GCL.

Pretty solid numbers.

Santa was 1/4 with a K in a game that the Sox lost today in the playoffs, which accounted for half the teams' hits.

Luis Alicea, the Greenville manager, is doing a blog throughout the season, and he had this to say about Santa:

QUOTE
During these scrimmages we try to focus on the pitchers, but Moises Santa impressed me today at the plate. He’s a very young outfielder, 19, from the Dominican Republic. He is a five-tool player and can do it all – tremendous power, excellent speed. Last season in his first year in professional baseball, Moises hit .309. There’s a good chance that he will be in Greenville, if not on Opening Day at some point in the season.

I'm looking foward to watching this kid play this year.

For those of you who were wondering what Santa looked like:

IPB Image

Yep, that's a pretty good picture. As for the season, in 11 ABs he has a .273/.273/.273 line right now.
Harry Bobbin Manass
Santa has been released by the Sox, according to BA. It's just a transactions list, so no reason given. He only played 7 games and had 27 ABs for the Spinners this summer before getting hurt.
