Fancy that, Millar playing 1B against the righty. Fancy indeed.

Aug 20 2005, 02:54 PM
Millar has much better numbers against righties than lefties this season.
I am going to the game. I am going to be way late. Like fifth inning late. I guess I am officially a Californian now

Wish me luck. GO SOX!!!!!!!

Now that it appears Timlin is going to be the closer with Schilling starting next Thursday, I hope Francona had Wallace show Timlin the video of OC's steal and the ensuing double steal from the previous game. Timlin works so slowly he builds up a lot of intensity for me when he's on the mound, especially with men on base. I would like to see him speed up his attack on the hitter and maybe that would help discourage running on him. You can take all day to putt, but it doesn't will the ball in to the hole any better.

Remy doing a FOX game.
No Buck or McCarver. That is awesome.

Aug 20 2005, 03:17 PM
I love you Remy, but if you call this game really well, FOX is going to want you to stay with them. And unless you plan on teaching Mike Myers to be your replacement, forget it.

Aug 20 2005, 03:18 PM
I don't know if I'll get to hear Remy say a word. I've got the Yankees and WS in the 8th and what is worse, I have to look at those Yanks in Hi-Def. Such reality.

The level of frustration I'm experiencing seeing Kevin Millar get regular at bats this year is really starting to get overwhelming. I think he seems like a nice guy, but Kevin Millar playing... and against a RHP... I just don't know how much more of this shit I can take. It's so goddamn backwards.

I'm looking at it like this. Francona is giving Millar his last chance today at first.

Aug 20 2005, 03:33 PM
Wow...we certainly are going to have trouble getting our offense going today. Santana is looking like an MVP against us.
WILD GUESS: Millar makes an out.
Yep...take a ****ing seat Millar you suck. Santana has struck out 5 of the first 6 batters. He should've been on the all-star team.

Millar down to .268 with Petagine looking on from the bench. Let's hope Santana looses his control today because if not we could be in for a long afternoon....

Sit him down, Tito. Time to grow up, your favorite toy needs to go to the Salvation Army to be given out to some team in need, you know, like the Astros.

That's not even the sad part. The sad part is that Theo hasn't stepped in and told Tito just how bad Millar has been. That's the sad part. I blame Theo; it's his responsability to step in and tell Tito that Millar will not be the Red Sox starting first basemen.

Haha, the first 4 K's-- swinging... Alright, so Santana is good.
What does Millar do?
Stand there and doesn't budge as his knees buckle on a curveball right down the pipe.

Did someone forget to pack the Kryptonite?
Santana is making us look foolish out there.
Nothing like a young fireballer we have not seen before to silence the Boston bats. Same thing happened last year a couple times.
