I was listening on the car radio, and John Sterling and Susan Whatsherface were crowing about how the Yankees were finally getting good pitching, and which gives them the advantage over the red sox because the red sox can only win by outslugging teams. And then as if on cue, Wright coughed up 5 runs on a double to sweeney, a single by Long and then a wild pitch with the runner on third.
It was perfect.

Affeldt made an error throwing to second. It could have been a game ending DP, or at least the 2nd out. New KC reliever has a > 7 ERA. Oh good.

I think ESPN recaps will show that the Royals blew an inning/game ending double play. Posada hit the ball, and he's slower than molasses flowing uphill in Maine in January. F*ck the Royals.

Jim Wolf, behind the plate tonight, doesn't tend to call too many balls (2.7 BB/9 innings). I don't know if that'll become an issue or not later on...
thats good for bronson, with that slider if its right is close alot, if he gets some calls he can be very effective.

Anni, I've used AOL IM, let me try:
"It is good for Bronson Arroyo that Jim Wolf only allows 2.7 bases on balls per nine innings pitched. When Arroyo is pitching his slider well, it frequently is close to the edge of the strike zone.
