I didn't go to game 3 of the ALDS last year, but I just checked my ticket stubs game 4 of the ALCS and game 2 of the WS, and the prices are the same (at least for box seats), at $125 for the ALCS and $190 for the WS. A lot of money, but well worth it, obviously.

Where did you get these numbers?? I dont doubt that they are accurate, but i was just wondering if you could provide a link? - Or are they from your playoff ticket invoice?

From the letter that came with my invoice.

Is there a potential schedule out there for the playoffs? I know it will be impossible to know the exact days and times of the games, but usually you can find something on the MLB web site. I can't find anything. Any one have any info?

Weekend plan.

I think 10th man plan holders don't get notified until after they process the season ticket holders in order to determine what is available.

BSG the ALDS starts on 10/4 and the ALCS starts on 10/11. The only set schedule is for the WS and it goes ...
10/22 AL
10/23 AL
10/25 NL
10/26 NL
10/27 NL*
10/29 AL*
10/30 AL*

PTBNL
Do you have the same seats?

I hate to complain, happy to be there yada yada..... but if they move me any farther back, I am going to be sitting in the bay. blink.gif

10th man ticket holders -

I just received an email from the Red Sox. Beginning Sunday, Sept. 18th at noon till Thursday Sept. 22nd at noon we have to claim our tickets and pay for them online.

If you don't claim your tickets by noon on the 22nd then you are out of luck. They will be mailing a letter and another email on directions how to claim the playoff tickets for the ALDS.

NJSoxFan
Hey BSG, when did you get this email? I have not received anything yet ... sad.gif

I actually got the email last night at 10:30PM. They said that we will receive another email and letter via mail "later this week" with account information and instructions on how to claim the tickets. So this email is not really that important, it is the 2nd email and/or letter that is real important.

Last year I think there were some problems with some people getting the emails at different times as well.

Also, it says that claiming your tickets earlier will not give you better tickets than if you register later on. So it is not as important to register right on Sunday at noon. It just has to be done by Thursday. So have no fear, I'm sure you will get that email soon! I will post as soon as I get the 2nd email.

I have the 10th man ticket plan as well & haven't yet recieved anything. Every year, I find this so stressful! Until I actually have playoff tix in my hand I never believe I'll be fortunate enough to get 'em.

Last yr. they gave me tix to game 5 of the ALDS (game didn't happen) so they rolled those over to game 3 of the ALCS which turned into game 5 because of the rainout on friday nite for game 3. That said, I hope I didn't use up all my mojo/karma/dumb luck last season for playoff tickets.......

Ok, where'd I put my muscle relaxers.......they're around here somewhere....

The Red Sox Nation card holders (who spent $10 on the card in the beginning of the season) get to enter into a lottery to win the chance to purchase playoff tickets. Those that win get the chance to buy tickets on Thursday the 22nd.

Then there is a second lottery which is for anyone. People can enter to win a chance to purchase playoff tickets, which would be held on Friday the 23rd. For this if you win the chance to purchase tickets for the ALDS then you do not have a chance to buy tickets to another series. Yet if you don't win the chance for ALDS then you can try to win a chance for either the ALCS or WS.

BoSoxGirl75
I have not received the 2nd email in regards to the 10th man playoff tickets. Has anyone received this email?

If I don't receive it by tomorrow then I'll give them a call then. This happened last year too. It seems it just takes them forever to get everyone their emails. Did you receive anything by mail? I would think they wouldn't have a problem with getting the emails out, but for some reason they can't figure out how to get it out on time for everyone.

Also, does it tell you which game you get tickets to? Like home game 1, etc. I forget how it worked out last year.

I too have not received any e-mails. I remember it happened to me last year as well- I had to call the Sox and they gave me a transaction number and I think I entered it to the link they gave me or they just told me where my seats were and gave me a confirmation number. I can't quite remember.

Either way I will be calling them if I do not get a letter by Monday.

I got my email, but it sucks. I am forced to sit in GS4, Row 15 and pay $117 for it. I would WAY rather have my regular bleachers.

I'm in GS as well, I'm in sec. 1. Seats 1 & 2, which I'm fairly certain is behind a pole & of course they don't charge 'obstruction view' prices (yes, I'll be happy just being there). They gave me tix to game 1, just curious if everyone has gm 1?

I too have worse seats than my plan. For my 10th man plan I am in the no-alcohol section 32. Last year I got row 1 of section 32 for game 1 an upgrade. This year I got bumped to section 6 headscratch.gif - yuck. I love the no -alcohol section.

Well, can't complain too much at least I am going. Now I get to see what it is like in a section you couldn't pay me to sit in for the regular games ( yanks excluded )
NJSoxFan
i got game 2 tickets
BoSoxGirl75
I got game 1 tickets, but the seats are much worse. I sit in the bleachers and now for game 1 I have grand stand section 5. I hate right field grandstand, but it is the playoffs so at least I'm in the park.
MFLetou
Well, to those of you upset about your ticket location:

Look on the bright side---if we keep playing like this, you'll no have to sit in those seats.
Brian Rose Comeback
I purchased my playoff tickets for ALCS game 2, and much to my surprise they have me in my same bleacher seats.

I got mine for alds game 3. Also in the bleachers but in a different location from my seats (actually better). I'm not really sure how likely it will be that there will be a 3rd game. Hopefully I'll wind up with ALCS tickets like last year, but this team has a long ways to go before we get there.

Cleveland's tickets go on sale Saturday Sept. 24 @ 10AM. Who knows what will happen. It's not outside the realm of possibility that the Sox could be coming here as a Wild-card.

Nothing yet here. I entered both the RSN membership and the regular ticket lottery. If they'll notify us today it will probably be around 6p. Thats how it went with the other ticket lotteries, if I remember correctly.

I haven't heard anything and neither has anyone else I've talked to. It's been mentioned, but I believe last year those who won the lottery were notified much earlier than those who didn't. So this may not be good news for those who haven't.. Just specualtion though, I truly have no idea.
