I know this prob. has been mentioned..but..This game again has no coverage whatsoever..Does anyone know if TV and radio or MLB coverage compared to last year and 2004 is down this year for Spring training games?
Cudahy
Of the 14 games today, the Sox game is one of only 3 that doesn't have radio coverage. I was shocked to find out that WEEI isn't carrying a lot of the games that aren't televised.
RedSoxAnni
No score after 3
Doc
Could somebody in the know post when and if Foulke makes an appearance.
Cudahy
Looks like Dinardo pitched 5 shutout innings. We have only 2 hits in the game.
JohntheBaptist
So does the Rodrigo Lopez thing infect a guy once he puts on our uniform? Just checking. It would appear so.

According to this morning's Globe, Foulke is supposed to pitch in a minor league game today. If all goes well, he might pitch in the game tomorrow, which means we'll be able to watch.

This really does suck, can't even fidn today's lineup. We need some coverage.

No score in the top of the eighth. Lopez is STILL pitching, and the Sox have only two hits so far.

Also, note that Schilling and Foulke pitching in a minor league game, and not in the game against Baltimore.

Dang,

Shilling is starting to worry me. He is having a tough time of it.

good outing for Foulke...but Curt's line doesn't look impressive.

Lopez just finished his 9th inning against us! Are they even taking a pitch?

Foulke sharp
By Chris Snow, Globe Staff

Keith Foulke was sharp - he struck out the side in the eighth, fanning all three Ottawa Lynx batters he faced on 13 pitches. It appears that he's done for the day, and he should pitch again tomorrow, against the Blue Jays ... Schilling's line in this Triple A game: 7 IP, 8 H, 5 R, 0 BB, 10 K, 1 HBP, 1 HR, 109 pitches, a whopping 82 for strikes.

Well 10 K's and 109-82 do look good. (0 BBs as well)
Doc

From SoSH:

was the line under Schill 109 pitches/82 strikes? if it was then when were the runs scored, if they were all in the 7th, that's one thing. I'll wait until May before passing judgement on schill, 4-5 starts.

Ok ?'s answered, 10 K's is good, but it was Ottowa. It's still spring training.
Locklandworth
I still think Schill is out there throwing his formula, 20 of this pitch, 20 of that pitch, etc, I really wouldn't get worried about this.
Cudahy
We had only 2 hits in the whole game today. I'm assuming it was mostly second stringers since it was an away game.
Dinardo sure looks good.

Hansen has been gold this spring. smile.gif
RedSoxAnni
The MLB linescore had Lopez pitching into the eighth inning, but according to the box score he pitched six innings, which makes a whole lot more sense.
vicocala
Also, even though he took an o-fer it is nice to see the WMP was not the victim of a strikeout today.

He did take a walk, though. That's two in three games and in around 6 or 7 ABs.

We have a new leadoff hitter! Look at that OBP!

Durbin at SS? That's odd.

Durbin at SS? That's odd.

I'm guessing it was just a 9th inning pinch hit for Cora, who must have played the whole game otherwise.
