The game will start at 1:35 while they get the field ready. They had some rain a short time ago, and the field was covered.

GAME IS BLACKED OUT IN CALIFORNIA ON DIRECTV...WHAT GIVES? What channel can DirecTV customers watch it on if 623 is blacked out?

Ortiz, dh
Ramirez, lf
Nixon, rf
Varitek, c
Lowell, 3b
Youkilis, 1b

There may be some connection between the rain delay and Directv blacking out the game. They haven't blacked out a Sox game since the 1st day of spring training. Hopefully they'll fix the error soon.

Jacoby is in the dugout, hopefully we'll get to see him later on smile.gif

Should've had Adam Stern in RF today, he would've caught that.

How many times will you get to hear that?

Let's hope at least 3 times warren.gif

Lowell seems to have gotten his bat speed back and will have some confidence going into the season, which is awesome. And Youkilis, well, how can you not love that guy? Or make a thread that has reached several pages with the creator of said thread the only anti-Youkilis person on the entire board.

And, I don't think Pauley is Major League ready just yet, haha. Poor kid, getting thrown to the wolves; A great hitting team in an uber-small ballpark.
Curll
Well, there was a minor heart attack.

Crisp smoked one to first, Howard bobbled it and rather than tossing it to the P covering first, he trucked over there and tripped Covelli up, who then fell and laid face first on the dirt for a few seconds.

He got up smiling and laughing, no big deal. But, man.
Cudahy
Sox lose 9-5.
Directv blacked out the whole game.
Just one more game!

He looked off at times, and good at others. Left a changeup too high, missed with a fastball. He looks not quite ready, but not totally awful.
