Looks like those who hoped that we could get Delgado after the season might not want to hold their breath:
Jays plan to keep Delgado in Toronto

DUNEDIN, Fla. -- The Toronto Blue Jays won't discuss a new contract with Carlos Delgado until after the season. The first baseman will make $18.5 million this season, the last in a $68 million, four-year deal.
"We did the same thing with (Roy) Halladay, we waited till the end of the year," general manager J.P. Ricciardi said Wednesday after Delgado reported to spring training. "I think we are going to do the same thing with Carlos. We have talked to him already and told him we want him to be a part of what we are doing."
Halladay, the AL Cy Young Award winner, agreed last month to a $42 million, four-year contract.
Delgado was second in AL MVP voting last year after hitting .302 with 42 homers and a major league-leading 145 RBI. He is eligible for free agency after the season but would like to stay with Toronto.
"I like the direction (Toronto) is taking the last couple of years, a commitment to improve the ballclub," he said.
Ricciardi isn't interested in trading Delgado. "He has a no-trade in his contract. We aren't even going to go to him," Ricciardi said. "I'm a big fan of him, and I think when I look at our lineup, protecting all the young kids, there is not a better guy sitting down there hitting in the cleanup hole."
