Sweet Mother of the Church!!!! It's the triumphant return of the Mighty Bergs Pitching Matchups© Thread!!!

As is always the case, many of these sample sizes are such that meaningful conclusions should not be considered reliable. In other words, we cannot assume Alex Cora will continue to be the greatest hitter of all time just because Daniel Cabrera is on the hill.

Umm, it looks like the O's hit better against Wake (by OPS, and presumably R/AB given the HR & RBI differentials, and SLG by a lot) than the Sox do against Lopez, so I'm confused--we do not appear to be favored in that game based on this very limited data.

edit: I also expect Schilling's 2.000 OPS vs Chen to be key.
Sox Sweep Again

Yeah!!! Thanks for the work of putting this together, I always appreciate this!!!

And yeah, we should sweep. Tonight's game looks like a slug-fest, however. 10-7 Red Sox.

Game 2: 5-3 Red Sox
Game 3: 6-4 Red Sox
