Arizona Diamondbacks - Recalled pitcher Edgar Gonzalez from Tucson (PCL); Optioned pitcher Casey Daigle to Tucson.
Boston Red Sox - Agreed to terms with outfielder Jason Place, catcher Jon Still, pitchers Kris Johnson, Jeff Farrell and Will Mann.
Houston Astros - Optioned pitcher Chris Sampson to Round Rock (PCL).
Major League Baseball - Suspended Chicago White Sox pitcher David Riske for three games and fined him an undisclosed amount for throwing at St. Louis outfielder Chris Duncan in a game; suspended Chicago White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen for one game and fined him an undisclosed amount for the intentional actions of Riske, and fined Guillen another undisclosed amount and ordered him to attend sensitivity training for making offensive comments after the June 20th game.
