Game Time: 1:05 pm
Scheduled starters: Cory Lidle (4-6, 5.00 v. Tim Wakefield 5-8, 3.82)
The game will be on NESN and MLB.TV
Boston weather: 10 am observation at BOS: Wind out of the southeast at 6 mph, visibility 6 miles in mist, overcast at 1,500 feet, temperature 71F, DP 69F
Forecast: We've got the muggies! I guess it's better than rain! The Boston area is sandwiched in between a surface high off to the southeast and the low off to our west and northwest, and that's not going to allow this humid airmass to move on...
There's a chance that we could get some showers and thundershowers this afternoon, especially if the clouds break and we get some more heating. The rain that got us yesterday is off to the northwest, though, and is not going to be a problem.
They'll get the game in today, but there could be a shower during the afternoon. The wind will be blowing in from right, but will not likely be a factor.

Look, it's Ryan Howard! Could he possibly be hitting cleanup? No, that's not possible. That would be intelligent, and Charlie Manuel does not subscribe to that school of thought!

Okay, so the strike zone today is about the size of the 02215 area code. Sounds good, ump.
And I meant zip code.

Was Rowand's out a laser? All I can tell on Gameday is that he lined out to Youks.

Not really a line drive. More like a blooper that never really got high enough to be called a blooper. He hit it off the end of bat, and it was totally dying when Youkilis got to it. I actually thought Youk was going to fall down after making the catch.

Remy was talking about how full it is, can't be more than a 1,000 empty seats, and its still somewhat early in the game. Remy said, "I guess a lot of people were "sick" today". Goes to show just how many showed up.
