Game Time: 1:20 pm EDT
THE GAME WILL BE ON FOX
Scheduled Starters: Josh Beckett (10-4, 4.59) v. Freddy Garcia (10-5, 4.72)
Chicago weather: 10 am CDT observation at ORD: Wind out of the south at 12 mph, visibility greater than 10 miles, few clouds at 25,000 feet, temperature 77F, DP 58F
Forecast: The high that has been dominating Chicago weather for the past few days is moving to the east, and will be off the Atlantic coast by tomorrow. The wind is now becoming southwest on the back side of the high, so it will be warmer than it was yesterday when Chicago had a lake breeze. A cold front moving toward the area may create some instability tomorrow, but today should be a decent day for baseball. It'll be in the 80's, with a south/southwest wind at 12-15 mph. That's blowing in from right to across from right toward third.

Finally I get a Sox game on FOX that I can watch. Thank God the Braves are playing a night game tonight or I would have been screwed. One week from now I'll be in that beautiful city.

Florda vs. NYM
Not even a good ****ing pitching matchup, 2 4-5 era starters. This makes me want to pull my ****ing hair out!!!!!! AGGGH!

Iguchi GOs to Lowell on the 1st pitch. Thome up.

Let's get Thome in about 3 pitches to end the inning here with a very low pitch count to start the game.
Or not.

You're saying you're not intrigued by a matchup between the second and fourth place teams in the weakest division in baseball?
Not even tempted by the possibility that this will be the day Barry Bonds finally goes 48 for 48 with 48 HR, thus putting an end to the "Chasing Aaron" ticker?
Really?
The programmers at Fox will be stunned to hear this.

So how long do we get to listen to these two scumbags piss on Manny? Ooo, he's playing for the Sox, but not in the All Star game. Hey assholes, maybe because the Sox write his checks. Did you think maybe he needs the All Star break to rest his knee? I hope they break their jaws and can't speak for six weeks, losers. Screw Rosenthal too.

Rosenthal has gone to total shit since his HoF offseason.
If Jack Buck was still around, he'd tell his son to go **** himself.
Caspir
Jul 8 2006, 12:51 PM
Now according to Rosenthal he's disrespecting the fans. Let's take a survey and see what the fans who voted for him would rather see. Manny with a bum knee all year, but playing in an "All Star" game that features Mark friggin Redman, or Manny taking a few days off to rest his knee for the stretch run. See who wins that.

Seriously, this is the first time I have ever heard people bitch about a player playing through an injury, oh wait, it's Manny, so that means its just Manny being Manny and he must be lying about his supposed injury...God they are annoying

The bad news is that coco stranded the runner at 3rd.
The good news is that Coco is swinging the bat differently. He's getting some motion and hips into his swings. At last he's starting to look like a guy who could put up the kind of numbers he did the last few years.

I hope the White Sox collapse in the second half and miss the playoffs.
I really, truly just don't like them. At all. I even tried rooting for them in the playoffs last year after they beat us, figuring, you know, 1917 and all. Didn't work. Couldn't do it. They just aren't likable.
We must, therefore, sweep this series. F them.
