What the heck? Another day-game? Cool!
What's up with that lineup? Are they playing St. John's, or something? I'm confused today.

ESPN is showing the game as being televised, but they're also showing the White Sox - Tigers game, which is an hour earlier, as being televised. Not ESPN2, but ESPN for both. I wonder if that's an error on their Scoreboard web page. Split screen? I need to decide whether to take the day off. Anybody have more information? Grazie.

Probably because Tek typically does well from the right side of the plate.

True, but sample size is an issue and this has been an odd year for Tek anyways. Three year splits (2003-05):
vs. RHP: .266/.353/.457 .810 OPS
vs. LHP: .327/.410/.587 .997 OPS.

Isn't that how it goes? It sure seems that way. Well, the Red Sox will need Manny being Manny today, with Ortiz out of the lineup following two games and only two runs scored (against the Royals!). Of course, Franklin has some good advice for watching today's game as well.
"Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy."

Ortiz could probably use a day off. But, then why is Lowell not in the lineup? And replaced by Cora, a lefty, against a lefty pitcher? So no Ortiz, Nixon, or Lowell. We don't want to try to put any distance between us and the Yanks now, I guess.

To anyone actually watching the game, does Curt look like he has movement on his pitches? Can't tell from Gameday, but 7 hits in 2 1/3 makes it seem as if he's throwing batting practice or morphed into Jason Johnson...
Edit: Blalock K's, maybe Schill's been unlucky so far?

He's left some over the plate, but he's also given up a few cheapies. Of course, when that many balls are hit near Loretta, you're bound to give up hits.
Nice catch, Curt.
