With all the flaws of this team - it really is amazing that we have the 2nd best record in the entire league.
But I suppose if we had just played 600 ball during interleague play we'd be in 3rd place behind NYY and Toronto...

Trot has a hit, and gave that one a long ride to right center.
So not necessarily today, but it seems to me that Trot has forgotten how to go the other way this year. Most teams are pitching him offspeed and away, but Trot is pulling everything.

Manny's FO was at the right field edge of the triangle. Figgins got a good jump.
I agree, anytime we get hits from 1,2, or 5 in the order, we're usually in pretty good shape to score at least 1 run.

Scioscia gave us a gift by having Izturis bunt and giving up an out to get Figgins to second when Figgins could have stole second and then Izturis could have bunted to Figgins to third with 3,4,5 up with one out.

it's weird with Hansen....With Papelbon and Delcarmen they have out pitches to go with their velocity. With Hansen, his "vaunted" slider doesn't seem to eat people up.
Based on what we've seen, I think he projects as a set up guy alot like Timlin vs. a true closer.

Cracks in their armour. How about they were rushed into key roles without enough work in the minors? Of course the reason is there's this rotting stench in the bullpen called Tavarez and Seanez.
