I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank Fox for making sure that I can't watch the game, along with thousands of others in Red Sox Nation.
So excited to see the Nats at 4 though (yeah, right). We're going to see the Beach Boys at Wolf Trap.

I'm stuck with the Nats, too.
Proxy server 201.134.139.114 port 4480 for anyone who needs it. If you get "Access Denied" on the MLB page keep trying, it'll go eventually.
Also, I have a feeling post #4 was supposed to be in the News Links thread.

I am supposed to be able to see the game in Albany NY but thus far Fox has had technical difficulties every 2-3 minutes during the pregame. Rosenthal's trade deadline update was completely lost and a feature on Big Papi was so broken up it told no story at all. If Fox is going to carry the national pastime and not allow EI subscribers to see their preferred game, the least they can do is execute a broadcast.

I also am unable to see the game. I guess in South Florida any NY team gets priority. I have yet to see the Sox on any Fox game.

I don't know who Remy's partner is for the FOX broadcast, but compared to Orsillo, he's absolutely tiny. Remy looked like some kind of hulking giant next to him.

In Albany, Fox seems to spin a wheel. One week we get the Mets, one the Yanks and one the Sox in no particular order. This is why I subscribed to XM Radio to get hte MLB package.

Payback time. The Angels spoiled Lester's unbeaten record, now it's time for the Sox to do the same to Weaver.

I know Tito won't ever change the lineup, but I'd still prefer Lowell to bat before Tek. I just needed to say that, because it bothers me!
I hope we crush Weaver today.

Man, Bernie Williams could have thrown that better.
I think we're fooling ourselves if we think our pitching staff is better than the yankees at this point, with Beckett's inconsistency in light of his record.

I'm really sick of his inconsistency...he has way to many starts where he loses the game in the first inningl.

It's simple with Beckett. If he can locate his curve for strikes early, he's effective. If not, they sit on his fastball and he becomes hittable.

At least Loretta can't GIDP now. So he does the next worst thing...strike out.

Ortiz had a line drive down the first base side. The ball bounced off the wall and the RF'er was right there to grab it and threw it to OC. OC tagged out Papi who was trying to slide into 2B.

Papi hit a ball down the 1B line fair which scored Youks from 2B BUT the ball hit the side wall and went to Juan Rivera who threw out Papi trying to stretch the hit into a double.

Well, Mr. Fastball looked better in the 2nd inning, aided perhaps by the Angels putting the ball in play early in the count.
Time to get Weaver's ERA over 2.

another 2 on no out to 2 on 2 out with no movement. this part of the lineup needs a shake up. I'd even look at Coco for the 5 or 6 hole now. even with this latest out, I still think Coco should move up though I've never seen a player with the feet of Icarus hit more flyballs.
