Game time: 8:05 pm
Scheduled starters: John Lackey (9-6, 2.89) v. Curt Schilling (13-3, 3.60)
The game will be on ESPN.
Boston Weather: 2 pm observation at BOS: Wind out of the east southeast at 12 mph, visibility greater than 10 miles, few clouds at 6,000 feet, temperature 74F, DP 62F
Forecast: We've got a brief respite from the heat today and tomorrow before the REAL hot weather gets here. Eastern NE weather is being influenced by a weak backdoor cold front, and we've got an onshore breeze in the coastal area, which is keeping temperatures cooler there than inland. At 2 pm, it was 74F at Logan Airport; I suspect that it is a few degrees warmer at Fenway Park. It's in the mid-80's just west of route 128/95; BED is reporting a NE wind and 84F, FIT and ORH have the wind out of the west and temperatures in the upper 80's.
It will probably be in the upper to mid-70's by game time. There will be a light wind out of the east (blowing in) around game time, but when the sun goes down the winds will shift around from the west (blowing out), but at less than 10 mph.

Another blown save by Huston Street, vs. Toronto.
Edit, A's announcer said 'it's so difficult to get a four out save.' Well, if your name is Street, maybe. Now 3 runs given up in the ninth by Street.
Seven BSs for Street this year. There is Mariano, and there is Jonathan, and the rest are all crapshoots.

Glad to see Lowell in hte lineup. GD Olney anyway.
What I posted before, Milton Bradley, Mr. Monopoly himself, saved the day with a 3 run walkoff against BJ Ryan. Life's little favors. Go Sox!

Curt was too much in love with his fastball in that inning. Splitter got him out of it.

But anyway, this is depressing. We have a 2 man rotation, and the top of it is getting smacked around like he's throwing BP. Curt's got zero location tonight.
