After no moves at the deadline I think what we all need to see is a win. So let's go Wells!
Edit: I can't form sentences today -I'm going to blame it on the trade deadline though.

Wait - there is a game tonight?
What a country - we get the trade deadline and a nationally televised game on the same day. We really need Wells to come through for us tonight. If he gets bombed in the third inning, there could be a lot of bridge-jumping.

David Wells, is on the mound again? Is it really true? Rise and be healed David Wells, for you have been blessed, and so too have the Red Sox!
I really thought we had seen the last of David Wells, but it looks like the big guy is proving me wrong. Now lets see the good start we've been waiting for all season.

Demons of poor pitching, come out!

With Pena in the line-up and Boomer wanting to step in. This could be the swift kick in the ass this team needs. There is more thump with Wily Mo and if Wells pitches anything similar to '05. Were in luck.

Always glad to see an ESPN Sox game, being on the left coast as I am. Sounds like we get Sutcliffe tonight, not Hershiser. Man. I hope they pay Hershiser well, he is so much better than anyone else they have. Maybe Sut will crack open a few beers in the booth and give us something to laugh at (besides the Indians).

Easy there. It's true about Wells "rehab starts" with the the major league club but, well it's been discussed plenty...with Wake in the DL and the lack of options of a 5th starter, It's not crazy to have him than say.... Jason Johnson, Gabbard, Pauley or Snyder (whos actually up tomorrow).
Not pretty, but what are we gonna do.
He's got the lead back, say he toughs it out for 5 innings, they score some runs and get an ugly win.....Tito would look good.

Going to the bottom of the 3rd... Wells might have just thrown the last pitch of his ML career. I hate to sound like Sutcliffe here... just think that Wells has too much pride to go out like a chump...

I don't think Wells wants to walk away. Incentives aside, he's a competitor. He knows if he can contribute we have a good chance to win the WS. We'll see Wells again, unless he literally can't walk.
