Sports Heroes Charity Night to be held this Sunday

Matt Bonner and Ben Baroody are teaming up for a second straight year to present the New England Sports Heroes Charity Event at the Derryfield Country Club banquet room. The event will be held this coming Sunday, August 13th, at 6:30 p.m.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Concord & Manchester as well as the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The event will give fans the opportunity to meet Matt Bonner, a Concord High graduate, University of Florida standout, and current NBA player who was recently traded from the Toronto Raptors to the San Antonio Spurs. Along with Bonner, guests will include former Patriots Roland James and Bobby Leo, former Red Sox manager Joe Morgan, local boxing legend Micky Ward, and even wrestling legend Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake.

The night will consist of appetizers, a silent auction, raffle, meet & greet with the sports icons, and a discussion panel that will give fans the opportunity to ask questions and discuss past and current sports issues.

Last summer a Matt Bonner Charity Event was held where Matt was the lone athlete. The event, through a similar format, was able to raise several thousand dollars for the above charities.
