Done and done.

Don't they have 13 pitchers for this series?
They are going to actually have 13 pitchers for the series....they dropped breslow for Hinske but after game 1 they will drop Johnson and add Foulke

Jason Johnson lights out after the first 3 hitters?
Is this going to last?
Way to go Hinske! Double in the first AB. One out double, like in the first inning. Let's hope to get something else now.

Hinske in his first Sox AB...
He works the count into his favor, finds a ball to hit and smacks a double.
NICE!

Ah the Mike Lowell 2nd half tear continues. Thanks for another 1st pitch out so we can see if Wang can pitch a complete game.

Aug 18 2006, 12:59 PM
28 pitches for Wang though 2, despite giving up a walk and two extra base hits. We're just waving at everything, and doing poorly, since the extra base hits came deep into the count (the only two times aside from Youks that we actually went deep into the count). And we're stranding runners. Sucks!

Johnson pitching feels like Russian Roulette - there's anticipation with the knowledge that each batter has a chance to go off...

Boy do I miss Sean McDonough. Hearing him call this game just sounds RIGHT. The ebb and flow, when to talk, what to say...he's such a natural, and his voice and Fenway Park in particular are just right. I hope one day NESN does the right thing and gets him involved again, somehow.
