Keep drinking M.A. I want to see that again.

Done and done.

I would really love to see us get Wang's pitch count up this inning.

Don't they have 13 pitchers for this series?

They are going to actually have 13 pitchers for the series....they dropped breslow for Hinske but after game 1 they will drop Johnson and add Foulke
rene144
Jason Johnson lights out after the first 3 hitters?
Is this going to last?

Way to go Hinske! Double in the first AB. One out double, like in the first inning. Let's hope to get something else now.
Bosredsox5
Hinske in his first Sox AB...

He works the count into his favor, finds a ball to hit and smacks a double.

NICE!
cracker
Nice AB. Welcome to Boston Eric Hinske.
terpsnsox
Nice start new guy!

Hinske with a 1-out double.

C'mon other new guy.
SuperManny
Ah the Mike Lowell 2nd half tear continues. Thanks for another 1st pitch out so we can see if Wang can pitch a complete game.
rene144
28 pitches for Wang though 2, despite giving up a walk and two extra base hits. We're just waving at everything, and doing poorly, since the extra base hits came deep into the count (the only two times aside from Youks that we actually went deep into the count). And we're stranding runners. Sucks!

Hinske...........taking pitches AND turning the at bat into a double!!

Welcome to the Red Sox.......hope you boys on the bench were taking notes.

Chorus chant: 'MVP, MVP, MVP........'
bigbilly
Johnson pitching feels like Russian Roulette - there's anticipation with the knowledge that each batter has a chance to go off...
MFLetou
Boy do I miss Sean McDonough. Hearing him call this game just sounds RIGHT. The ebb and flow, when to talk, what to say...he's such a natural, and his voice and Fenway Park in particular are just right. I hope one day NESN does the right thing and gets him involved again, somehow.
PantsB
Where did that pitch miss?
rene144
that was strike 3!

Where did that pitch miss?

In Haiti
fsusoxfan
HUGE!!
rene144
considering he had Abreu struck out, Jason Johnson has been just shocking since the first 3 consecutive hits...
VoteRiceIn
Let's get the hell out of here!!

Giambi long at bats never make me feel good, esp. w/ a runner now in scoring postition..........

edit: Nice!!!

Now let's see how we do the second go-around.......

All right, I'm busting out the rosary beads so that Johnson can last at least 5 2/3.

Man, I need to start using these beads in the stock market smile.gif
bigbilly
Nice K, but Johnson already has 62 pitches through 3 innings. Snyder better be ready for this.
fsusoxfan
Okay, second time through the lineup...time to do some damage
ManRamEm
Sweet play by A-Gon faking the tag. Abreu was calling for time. Ha

Nice K Jason!!
RSNLoyalty04
The Bud Light is flowing, lets get some hits boys!!!!
rene144
WTF is Crisp doing?

really just trying to keep Wang's PC down?
2bshorty
Is Coco mentally retarded? I'm serious.
Farmer Ted
Time to repent, Papi. Give us the lead!
rene144
Loretta is incredibly hot! But a quicker runner would have had a triple perhaps. Anyway, 3rd time we have a 1 out double in 3 innings.
bigbilly
Loretta has done his part for the game - 2 doubles with only 1 out. This time, Papi or Manny have to get him in...
torontosoxfan
What are the odds of 3 doubles w/ 1 out and none of them scoring?
PantsB

Papi's gonna say a big fat ZIP!

or not
ManRamEm
C'mon Manny. Drive one!!!!
MFLetou
Alright Manny..how about a clutch hit?
rene144
hit it hard at least...

Wang is really lucky tonight. He is pitching an awful game.
Bonz
This is very frustrating... 0-5 with runners in scoring position
rene144
QUOTE(PantsB @ Aug 18 2006, 08:15 PM)

with that bounce, it should have been a triple... Cabrera was wrong footed, it didn't go to him
MFLetou
Alright Youks--for God's sake give them a reason to pitch to Manny. We HAVE to make these teams pay for this.
torontosoxfan
This is the part where Youkilis flies out to left field after 6 pitches
unholycow
haven't we been here before?
Caspir
We absolutely cannot blow this opportunity.
bigbilly
3-1 - this is the pitch for the Monster....

Edit: Or walk so that Lowell can do the job...
MFLetou
Arlight Lowell---please, we can't squander this chance. You've got to cash something in.
future consultant
walks are good, now for some Mike Lowell magic
SuperManny
Come on Mike, make me be able to root for you.
Farmer Ted
I like that better than the last one. Lowell, do your thing! And I don't mean take a dump.
PantsB
The bases are:

Caspir
What a joke.
RSNLoyalty04
