I love how bad the Sox bullpen will be taxed after these 2 games are over.

What bullpen. banghead.gif

It's all part of the same end goal

A big fight would really debilitate them psychologically, considering the history. We all kow that everybody in baseball is superstitious. Somebody throw down! wink.gif

EDIT: Normally, i'm a lover, not a fighter. But we all have to make exceptions

I would like to see a new rule in MLB that requires at least 4 home growns players on the field at all times.

Wang, Jeter, Cano, Posada, Cabrera to start off.

Out of curiosity, besides Youkilis who in the Sox starting 9 came up through the system?
Jermaine Van Buren Fan
Absolutely useless at the dish. He doesn't have the 5th worst OBP of all-time relative to league average for nothing. BUT HE'S TEH SMOOTHEST!!!!!!!11111

8-9-1: Woohoo!
buffs4444
Our offense is tossing the salad today.....
redsoxfalcon09
0-15 now, haha.
MFLetou
Helluva job with RISP, guys. I just admire the effort.
nickdog
I think you're right.

Well I kinda figured this would be a tough one to win-let's hope Lester can pound the strike zone tonight and deliver a 7 inning great performance and a win.
jenny

7 f+cking doubles and a homerun and THREE runs.

MBed
Coco "Leadoff" Crisp

0-5, 3 one pitch at bats, one 3 pitch K at bat, total of 9 pitches seen. Nice.
fsusoxfan
When Coco leads off its like having 2 #9 hitters back to back after the first inning.
Jermaine Van Buren Fan
You've got to be kidding me with that change.
JamieNYY
Why is Manny out? Just a rest? YES has no idea.

Hah. Good luck with that one. Gabe is the glue that holds this team together.
fsusoxfan
If Kapler is coming in the game, at least put him in right and move Hinske to left. Tito is an idiot sometimes
StorrSox
How does he not PH Wily Mo for Gonzalez in that situation. He must have been impressed with the way the bottom of the lineup was working the count today.

Were you expecting the 9-hitter to carry the team?

Lugo's been hitting like a madman since the trade though, so no worries.
Bosredsox5
Why does Coco do these things? Is it even possible to trade him next season?

Also, Johnson and Snyder are BOTH terrible, Snyder is not the better of the two, he is just as bad... he's awful.

But he's a better "value" than Damon, remember? 10_1_131.gif

i love the disregard rudy/javy are showing to baserunners
kylexray
Please no more bullpen until tonight. Francona can leave Seanez out there to rot and the Yanks can win 100 to 3.

A madman? He's hitting .240 for the Dodgers with a .300 SLG... Yeah, he's off the chain dawg.

Hey I actually like the guy, but he's no Damon, he's not even close, and he may never even be in the same zipcode.

I can expect a Major League starter not to embarrass himself consistently with weak flails. But no worries, he's been a great hitter over his career - just a little rough stretch.

Why give Cano third? If Javy throws it to second, even accurately Cano can make it to third before it lands in Seabass' glove...

Cano is not that fast, but Lopez's arm is that bad.

He's the President of the bring back Gonzo over Lugo camp, and I'm the other way around. Sarcasm, dude.

It would have been nice to keep it close so that Torre would have had to use Farnsworth and Rivera.

He's obviously sucking now, but I dont think he does anything best. In the end, he's a serviceable reliever - nothing more nor less.

I see,

Well, carry on.
fsusoxfan
And thats why kapler should be in right
Bosredsox5
Hinske just made his first error of the year, unfortunate after his 3-4 performance.
MBed
One would hope that Coco, in a 5 game series, with a doubleheader, and NY's pen heavily used yesterday, might take a pitch once in a while. This guy is an average player. The best thing about him is his name.
kylexray
I'm done. I'll be back tonight.
redsoxfalcon09
Does anyone feel this game is just the beginning of a slow death for the Sox? I do...and I don't expect the Yanks to let up in Game 2 especially with who's pitching.

How's Auto-Out been doing over that stretch? Looks like Little Alex's flairs and dunkers inflating his BABIP are starting to normalize.

He's hitting .270 as the 9-hitter, which is pretty much what was expected out of him. If you're sure you can do much better, Captain Abacus, grab a bat and glove and jump on the green line.

While you're in the bring back A-Gone camp, and JVBF is in the Lugo camp... I am in the trade for the best available 2B or SS and move Pedroia to the other position camp.
HangingCurve
Please dump Seanez after the game and bring up a lefty reliever. The Sox must have a lefty in the pen against the Yank$. Not that it would have made a difference in this game. This game is what has been killing the Sox this year...crappy pitching and crappy hitting with RISP.
