Bugger for the Missouri team. I was rooting for them, because the Beaverton coach seems like a real jerk. He kept swearing into the microphone when he was talking to his pitcher on the mound.

Also, I know the umpires are volunteers, but some minimum level of competence needs to be enforced. The strike zones are horrendous, the knowledge of the rules of baseball tenuous at best. It spoils things and changes the outcome of games.

You know, if it wasn't for the coaches, how would these kids learn anything?

Hey the team is 0-2. Why would either the Yankees or the Mets invest in a team of losers? The coach has a chance to teach these kids a real life lesson here. If you win in life, you are cool, important and have lots of cash. If you lose, you are forced to beg for money.

I would love to know why the opponents of Columbus, GA keep deciding to walk Kyle Carter in order to get to Josh Lester. It hasn't worked once.

They showed the replay earlier tonight on ESPN. I'm not sure when, or if, they'll show it again.

Thanks, I actually caught the last inning and saw a replay of the Cody Walker HR, so I'm satisfied. Sounds like other than that it was just dominant pitching. Watching the kids celebrate is half the fun for me.
