has anyone seen Manny on the bench tonight?

Yes, I've seen him a few times. He is sitting in the dugout.

Breaking news..... Coco has walked, I repeat, Coco has walked.
MDKing
Coco walks! Don't even swing, Loretta.
mBiferi24
Pretty good, Coco.

Loretta, Do NOT f*ck this
ivebeentruped
Well that could have been worse.
BoSoxGirl75
Well, at least Loretta didn't ground into a double play. Come on Papi!

future consultant
f-k Loretta this has been happening way too much lately, I know you are still recovering but damn the guy was done
fiftyeight
And our woes vs. lefty nobodys continues.

Christ, these Seattle announcers have covered everything from the "Boston Massacre" last weekend, the mistreatment of Rice by fans, how players never have anything good to say after they leave Boston, how Boston was the last team to integrate, the mistreatment of Williams, to passing up on Jackie Robinson all in one inning. Hey! Whatever you weakass announcers names are, kiss my native New Englander born Red Sox fan and proud of it ass!!
MAD SoxFan
this sucks
BoSoxGirl75
Well, that was disappointing.

Julio Mateo is warming up - suddenly the disapointment subsides. A little

Lowell with his gold glove
MDKing
And John Lackey is giving the game to New York. He just hit Jeter to load the bases in the 4th.

Come on, Loretta was one of the few guys that stepped up and got some hits against the Yankees: 9 hits plus 3 walks.

offense = dead

One of them is Dave "Hendu" Henderson, isn't it?
ivebeentruped
Wow Coco that was dumb.
MAD SoxFan
crisp u suck
MDKing
How f***ing stupid is Crisp?
Ralpho316
Well it looks like the person Curt is gonna strangle tonight is gonna be Coco
Gabatta
Did you see that catch Coco made....NOT.

What a dumbass!
fiftyeight
I was closer to that ball than Coco. WTF!!!
rominer
If I'm Manny's knee, I'm healing myself, and fast.
BoSoxGirl75
Thanks a lot Coco. Really. Thanks.
banghead.gif

Not only can he not hit, his defense s*cks too. He has been more than a disappointment, and I want Andy Marte back. Or I want Andruw Jones. They should have traded him when they had the chance.

Sorry, I'm just so p*ssed off.
ivebeentruped
OK, Coco, that is your one allowed horrible misjudgement of the year. With your sucky offense, your defense better be stellar. Which it has been, until just now.

What happened? (No TV). Gamecast gave Bloomquist a triple.

Stellar might be pushing it just a bit.

That worked out well.

Coco dived for a ball that he had no business diving for, turning a single into a triple.
MDKing
Both runs off Schilling are due to horrible plays in the outfield. Awesome.

Shades of April Adam Stern. Deja vu time ...oops but Stern did make the catch... and a stern repremand form Tito...wonder if that will be the case tonight? Doubtful.
MAD SoxFan
it still should be 1-0

Coco dove for a ball that was closer to Manny in the dugout. The ball rolled all the way to the wall for a triple.

Mateo sucks. The offense should be able to come alive. Hopefully.

Another highlight on his bullet list of accomplishments for next year's resume. He'll look good in KC Royals blue.

I'm talking about situations where he needs to get on, or at least move the runners in critical situations for example in the 5th inning on the Monday game against the Yankees, Coco advanced the runner to second and Loretta wasn't able to move the runner or get on. I'm not saying this is the norm, just as of recently. Plus check out his average/obp with runners at second, or runners on 1st and 2nd after the all star break, its not pleasant.

jacksonianmarch
That was Coco's rap in Cleveland. How was a guy that fast moved to a corner OF position from CF for a slower white kid? Because Coco takes angles like a friggin !!!!!.

Manny is proving that he is the MVP of this team. Without him this offense sucks.
fiftyeight
At least Kapler is still in the game with the righty in. Thanks Tito.

With 2 outs/no one on it's not a big deal. In fact, the value of his defense over Hinske's for one or two more innings might outweigh the offensive disadvantage for this particular AB.

That said, Hinske better bat against Lowe, Soriano, or Putz later in the game.
Ralpho316
This is a very weak lineup getting beat by a very weak pitching staff....fun to watch baseball right here!
jacksonianmarch
just saw coco's play, it looked like Damon's play. Both dove on singles and turned them into triples.
BoSoxGirl75
Twins beat the White Sox so what does the Wild Card standings look like? Will we be 5 back if we lose tonight?
