Game time: 7:05 pm
Scheduled starters: Ted Lilly - (11-11, 4.78) v. Kyle Snyder (3-3, 6.91)
Boston weather: 2 pm observation at BOS: Wind out of the east at 13 mph, visibility 10 miles, few clouds at 3,000 feet, overcast layer at 20,000 feet, temperature 68F, DP 59F
Forecast: Cool and cloudy, with an east wind under 20 mph. High pressure over SE Canada is keeping dry air in the region, and we shouldn't see any low clouds tonight. The high will also tend to keep TD Ernesto to our west, but we are likely to get some rain from the eastern portion of the storm tomorrow.
The PawSox have moved their game from 6 pm to 1 pm in an attempt to get it in tomorrow ahead of the rain. It will be the last home game at Pawtucket. Right now, it looks like tomorrow night's Sox game at Fenway is in jeopardy. They may be able to play it, but there will be rain.

We're getting Ernesto right now. The eye is passing east of us, so it's basically drizzle, wind, and some power surges right now, but the wind's been getting worse as of late. We shall see. I don't think that predicted 8 inches of rain is going to happen, though.

All this news on Lester has me fretting about my lymph nodes

. I've got a decidedly enlarged gland on the left side, but I had an infection right there a month ago and I'm just getting over pharyngitis, so I suppose I should stop worrying. Still. . .I can't get this out of my mind.
And this game thread sucks.

Apparently, all the game thread regulars have gone on the DL.
Nice little game the Sox and Jays have going, too. Fewer hits between the two teams than there are posts in this thread. That ain't easy.

BTW Glaus is such a litte b*tch, sinus infection my ass, he is just sulking because Snyder made him look ridiculous

120 pitches, I thought Gibbon was going to exhaust him & then sucker-punch him.
How close was the play at the plate?

And in other news, both Minnesota and Chicago are losing by substantial margins, is it wrong (or absolutely foolish) of me to hope for a September run? I know it is, but still. . .
Pedroia completely missed the plate from what the announcers were saying, I didn't get a second look, did anyone else get a look?

Lilly looks down to hand him the ball and takes one in the nose, gets his leg swept out, and Gibbons heads back to the dugout with Lilly still in the game.......that'd be sweet.....
