Anni, I have a question for you, if this thing gets 100% cancelled what will happen ? since today is the last day for blue jays at fens, do u think its possible doubleheader at Rogers stadium ? ugh that would sucked, I hate that stadium just as bad as Tropicana

They wouldn't play it in Toronto.
I think they'll be able to get the game in. There are a couple bands of light rain in the area, but after that, it will be mostly light drizzle.
This game is in the control of the umpires, so they'll make the ultimate decision. If they can't play, there are two options, as I understand it. If the game ends up NOT making a difference in the final outcome for either first place in the AL East or the Wild Card, the game would not be played, and people would get refunds/a ticket for next season. If it DOES factor into the AL outcomes, then they'd play it the day after the end of the season, or on a mutual off-day, if the Sox and Jays have one before the end of the season.
I don't think the heavier rain is going to last, so they should be able to start. It's better to postpone the start, and not end up losing Beckett after two innings.

Hey folks, this is my last day at mlb as a freelancer and I'm watching the NESN feed here at work. Beckett just walked into the clubhouse, Looks like Chacin is walking over to the visiting dugout too.

Did you see the ball Zaun hit? It was up around his eyes and away. Can't blame Beckett for that one, it was just good hitting.

it still was a high fastball - i don't think he has thrown anything <offspeed> yet today
there the ball Hill flewout on was a curve
two straight walks, that last one hurts the most because he was ahead in the count

Wait till the second time through the lineup, Chacin is a hittable LH, we just have to be a bit more patient at the plate
they are making really good contact with Beckett, he needs to be a bit more careful or some of these are going to start leaving the park

Yes, good point about the LHPs this season (and last), and Gamecast and Sportsline are both delayed. Gamecast: Auto Update: Connected (no page reloads needed) as it shows Toronto still batting in the top of the second.

Beckett had warmed up before the game ended up being delayed, so it's possible that he was tiring.
