Let's see - we were two games in front on Memorial Day, 4 games up by the 4th of July, and now 9 games back on Labor Day. We've lost 13 games in the standings in 2 months. Wow.

Oh wait. JULIAN TAVAREZ IS STARTING.

That was the biggest scoring chance that the Sox have had in a month. Or so it feels anyway.

Gonzo is going back into his shell again hitting-wise, which earlier in the season prompted
that thread. Hitting a baseball: the hardest thing in sports to do consistently well.

Yeah, I have mixed feelings about seeing thses guys back. It's great to see them again, but I'd like to see the young guys get playing time the rest of the way: WMP against RHP, Pedroia instead of Loretta.
But what the hell! Youks is back hitting leadoff. That's great to see.

Tito should face reality.
Against RHP he should play Murphy and Carlos Pena. And WMP and Pedroia should be in the lineup against both RHP and LHP. Let Nixon, Lowell and Loretta sit.
