Do we get the third unexpected well pitched game of the series from Snyder?!?

Contreras has been awful lately I think. We'll see what happens, go RED SOX!

ESPN tonight for out-of-towners without MLB EI.
future consultant
heading over to riverside to make the trip in, should be a good one with Snyder if he pitches like he did against the Jays.

I've read that Jermaine Dye will be back in the lineup, which will help the White Sox immensely if the back spasms have subsided completely, but who knows. They are a desperate team and it would not surprise me to know that he is forcing himself to come back early.

Those with EI have enjoyed the NESN feed for the first two games of the series and mercifully spared from Hawk's verbal vomit. Who knows what tonight will bring?

It's NESN.

In my two years of EI, I've never seen another feed on a Sox home game.

Yeah the schedule always lists it. The best part is when the schedule for a road game says it will be on the road team's network and it is on NESN. That has happened a couple of times this year and it is glorious.

Hopefully, someday, you be able to select the broadcast.

Can we stop the if we do this and if we do that we can make the playoffs? They let David Wells go for Crissakes. Sign of admission they're just playing out the string if there ever was one. Snyder is a Jekyl and Hyde guy lately though isn't he?

And last I checked Theo wasn't the GM when the Beckett trade was made...

Yeah, but first off people use this as "Theo as an idiot" argument.

Second, and most frustrating, people say the Beckett trade was a great one, and then they go OMG WHAT A DUMB TRADE!!!!111 now. Hypocrites.

I thought initially that the trade was a very risky one. Hanley was a top 10 prospect and Anibal was an up and comer. I thought they could get a guy who could stay healthy and was proven for the guys they gave up. I had no idea Beckett was going to be this bad.

Hopefullt there will only be one no-no tonight. There is another bid in its infancy brewing in Kansas City.

And that's fine-- I wasn't a big fan of giving up Hanley and Anibal, but like you I also thought Beckett would have been much much better...

What bothers me are the people who do things like this.

1.) Hail the Beckett trade
2.) Bemoan the fact that we didn't give up Lester for Oswalt
3.) Rip the Beckett trade since we gave up our prospects
4.) Call it Theo's fault.
jacksonianmarch
I honestly do not care if Krusty the Clown was running the sox, they may have single handedly robbed their future in one trade. Jobs are judged by results. At the time, the trade looked like it was a wash. But now, it looks like the Red Sox gave up a cornerstone SS and a potential top of the rotation pitcher for a guy who has a 5+ era and an overpaid 3b who is sliding. What makes this worse is the fact that his trade was a precursor to the Crisp deal, which was another stinker. Fact is, the sox essentially gave up 2 top 10 prospects and a pitcher with top of the rotation potential (who is proving it in FLA) for a melted down pitcher, an overpaid 3b who is diving, and a LFer who cannot hit and takes horrible routes to the ball. Lets just say that this previous offseason could have been remembered as a shrewd offseason full of good deals. Instead, it may be remembered as the sox killing their future.

Yankee fans should be relieved. Randy is a 7 inning pitcher these days and if he went more than 7, he would be ineffective for awhile. Needless to say, that deal for him was no winner either. Then again, what they gave up wasnt that great either.
