A must win today to stay ahead of the Blue Jays.

I feel like those old Benny's (at least, I think it was Benny's) commercials. You know, the one where the guy is walking around a dark store looking for a sales representative to help him and he keeps saying "Hellooooo?".

Yes I know what you mean. Last night started out that way as well but my the latter innings it picked up and gave us some ears to vent our frustrations. That being said the Pats do start in a few minutes. My main concentration will be on that game but I will leave my computer on and tuned in to MLB.TV as well.

Why isn't Pedroia playing? Everyone knows this season is over -so why don't they play the guys who might be playing an important role in 2007? I don't understand it. They have this month to determine if Pedroia is a realstic option for next year, yet Loretta is in there. I have seen enough of Loretta.

Also, why don't they let Murphy get some games in? Why Kapler?!? I will switch to the game to see Papi and Pena bat and then after that I'm sticking to football. Watching the 'kids' would make this game interesting and they can't even do that right.

The season is so far gone that I hope we just keep losing so we can pull down a top 15 draft pick, which would of course be protected meaning we wouldn't lose it if we sign some Type A FA. (I don't believe the comp picks will be aborted this year)

Why isnt the game on my MLB Extra Innings package.......???
scotian1
Can you believe the lineup that Tito has put out there? Obviously he hasn't bought into the long term plan.
Also I thought that Manny hurt his knee again in the top of the 12th last night.

Mr. Pena meet Mr. Ortiz at second, what was that! How to run yourself out of a good inning.

It's on Game8 w/ComCast.

You know, I hate to buy into the loser's mentality, when I've pretty much preached that, "Yes, winning is everything" for quite some time...

...but now that I'm resigned to the fate of the Sox this year, I really am enjoying these games, just for the sake of enjoying them. Baseball is a hell of a game.

Who would of thought come September, we would not be making the playoffs and Julian Tavarez would be our only consistant STARTING pitcher.

If he keeps pitching like this, he should get a chance to make the starting 5 next year.
scotian1
Yes, Tavarez is a keeper!
Bob R
And, he takes his hat off this time. blush.gif

Go Pats !!!!!!

ivebeentruped
Gonzo's got some range... he makes a lot of plays to save runs.
ivebeentruped
And there's BIG PAPI!!
scotian1
Three more to go for what will end up as perhaps the only bright spot of this year.
rominer
Close play there on Varitek, but, dare I say it, I think the ump got it right.
scotian1
Couldn't Murphy have got some garbage time as well, here?

Wouldn't it have been good to see a lefthander face Gathwright Froday night!

Well it looks like Hansen is going to get a chance to close this one off.
rominer
How's that for karma?

Ump calls a ball on the fastball down the middle that could have put this one to bed.

Next pitch, foul tip off the arm, and he went down hard.

Funny stuff.

...and dirty water.

Where's all the celebration?

A 23 post game thread? Is that a record?

how about Julian Tavares is turning into a rather reliable starter.

Wow, only 2 pages.

Wow.

Glad we pulled out the win, missed the game. Was busy catching up on the football on the Sunday Ticket/Bartending.

I'll be at the O's game Tuesday in full force though. SHALL I GO 3 FOR 3 IN LOSSES?! I THINK NOT SIR.
