Kris was lauded by Lowell manager Bruce Crabbe in a now defunct Lowell Sun article for the energy and spark he brought to the club (the stellar production couldn't have hurt either) after his promotion from the GCL. He's a promising ballplayer and seems to have a very good attitude; one of my favorite low-minor prospects to watch. Gotta love that he ate up the NYPL after making the jump - he credited this in part to the attendance at games helping him get focused.

MiLB article quoting Crabbe from Lowell Sun article mentioned above. Below:

QUOTE OF THE WEEK: "He's brought life to us. It's an energy we haven't had all year. He's been the catalyst at the top of the lineup. Just being around this atmosphere has been energizing to him." --Spinners manager Bruce Crabbe told the Lowell Sun regarding the addition of shortstop Kris Negron. Negron is 11-for-28 (.393) since joining the Spinners last Saturday. In those nine games, he has two doubles, a triple, four walks, five stolen bases and five RBIs.

Baseball America quick hit:

Negron's arm makes him better suited for second base than shortstop, and his bat should play at either spot. Negron has a line-drive approach, makes consistent contact and is an above-average runner with good instincts who was 31-for-34 stealing bases this spring.
