Forecast: High pressure is dominating the area, and we'll have a clear and slightly cool evening. There's a gusty west northwest wind now, but it will become less windy after sundown. The winds will shift to the north later in the evening, and should be less than 10 mph.

Right now the wind is blowing out toward right. If the wind shifts more northerly, it will blow across from left to right. It will be in the low to mid 60's at game time.

I guess we see, for the rest of the way, how much the Sox want second place.

Still, Hamel vs. Schilling, better win this one. Toronto's at Detroit with a pitching mismatch there also, Bonderman vs. McGowan.

How cool is it that Schill got his era below 4.00? Is David Ortiz at least a demigod, or what? How much more do I love baseball, even in a bad year for the Sox, when I'm out of the country for a week? Did I manage to drag the thread to Page 2 a day after the game ended?
