Love of Sox
While searching for something else, I ran across this blog, which is done by a guy named Chris O'Leary who appears to be a sales/management consultant based out of St. Louis. He has a section on Pitching Mechanics as well as other "baseball related projects."

I thought the mechanics area might be of interest to some Rooters, as well as his "Baseball Pitcher Evaluations" section. Enjoy.

I e-mailed him asking what he thought about Papelbon/Lester. Once he responds, I will relay what he says.

Josh Beckett is listed in "rotates shoulders too soon."

I would love to hear what he thinks of Red Sox prospect Daniel Bard, who is in instructional league now and is reaching 99-100 MPH "with ease."

he gave a quick once-over to Paps in the September issue, saying he didn't believe his troubles were mechanical as much as they were lack of conditioning.
For the long-term he also says this:

The thing to notice is the height of his pitching arm side (aka PAS) elbow; it seems to be slightly above his shoulder. I believe that this could make him more vulnerable than average to an impingement problems.
