This year, we have secured 40 tickets to the Monday, May 28 game against the Indians and 40 tickets to the Tuesday, Sept. 4 game against Toronto. The Cleveland game on Memorial Day (May 28) will mark the return of favorite Dirt Dog Trot Nixon. Both games are 7:05 p.m.
As always, one of the benefits of supporterdom is that you guys/gals get first crack at the tickets. I'll keep this thread only in the clubhouse for a few days, then open it up to the heathens. Let's try to sell some tickets quickly so I can recoup my personal investment. The price includes a contribution to rent a room at Boston Billiards before the game to get everyone together.
The first interested parties to post in this thread will get the tickets. Please heed all the instructions below:
Tickets: Rightfield bleachers.
Ticket price: $35 ($23.10 cost, plus $1 Sox surcharge, plus money for postage and envelopes and pre-game outing)
Dates: Monday, May 28, vs. Cleveland Indians (7:05 p.m.) OR Tuesday, Sept. 4 vs. Toronto Blue Jays (7:05 p.m.)
Special Instructions: Please please please put your RSN.Net screen name and which game you want to buy tickets for along with real name and address in the "screen name/real name/address" box when you pay via PayPal (it's below the financial info).
Snail Mail Payment: PM MALC for instructions, but still post in the thread to reserve your spot in "line".

I would like to take 2 tickets to the May 28th game, no doubt.
I am undecided at the moment about the September game as I may have a conflict. I'd love to go if possible, but not sure I will know the deal before the tickets are gone. If anyone wants to keep me in mind as a backup for September, that would be great.

By the way, it was rather annoying that I couldn't change the "quantity" on the order form. /nitpick

I'm not sure why that's not changeable. I think it was, last year.
Anyhow, just put in the dollar amount of $35 x # of tix, and I'll figure it out.

Put me down for two tickets to each event. Paypal coming shortly.
Edit: Paypal sent. 35 * 2 tickets * 2 events = 140 smacks.
I forgot to specify that I wanted both games in the paypal so good luck with that.
And thanks a bunch for going through this hassle MALC. You definitely should not need to be paying for any drinks at either event. I will be buying you a round or two.

Seriously, Craig. A half-drunk man with a 2.5-hour drive needs to go home to his wife and take care of some family business, head of household-style. You'll see one day, when you finally order or inflate Mrs. Right.

Are there any tickets left for May? I can't be sure right now but I'll know by next weekend when my brother comes home. Thinking of taking him to Fenway as his 21st birthday present taking him and one of his friends to the outing...plus it gives me an excuse to go.

I just paid for two for the Sept. outing. I hope I did it correctly, PayPal wasn't behaving "normally".
So, I'll be back in town and ready for another Rooter Outing (God help me). Not sure where I'm staying yet. I would really like to not have to stay at the HoJo's. That place is really getting depressing. It's just that the location is so damn good.
Edit: I just decided I'm definitely not staying at the HoJo's this year. Me and Meg are going to stay at the Hotel Commonwealth. It looks pretty nice on the website. Anybody have any opinions?

I may last minute attend the September outing with a ticket a rooter has decided not to use, if they become available. But this rooter is getting hitched on the 8th (yey), so as much as I'd love to come, I can't commit yet (to the game).
