Game time: 10:05 pm EDT
Scheduled starters: Tim Wakefield (5-6, 4.24) v. Joe Kennedy (1-4, 3.30)
The game will be on NESN.
Oakland weather: Noon PDT (3 pm EDT) observation at KOAK: Wind out of the west at 12 mph, visibility 10 miles, few clouds at 2,000 feet, temperature 64F, DP 42F
Forecast: With cold air aloft and a marine flow, it'll feel more like a fall evening than an evening in June. But there's no rain. There should be less wind than last night, but it's still out of the west, which is blowing OUT.

Time for the annual "at the game mojo" as Looies and family will get their Sox jones on via the RF grandstand seats (Section 203).
Princess will be rockin' her Red Sox windbreaker/pants as she hollers for the Red n Blue at the top of her little lungs.

Just win the damn thing!! we already had our 1st 3 games losing skid for this season, don't make it 4th!
Youuuuk!
Jun 6 2007, 05:42 PM
We need the bats to wake up tonight..we got held to 2 runs by DiNardo..that's disgusting.
Hopefully we win the next two games and split the series. That would be just fine.
Maybe Wakefield will end his streak of bad starts, as well.
Let's hope.

Mish I'm on Central time and i can't stay up...I tivo it and don't check the score. I wake up early and kind of flip through before going to work. These last two games have set me off in a sour mood...

This is NOT how my first post should be, but... the situation is making me extremely nervous.
Dice pitched a very good game yesterday, no support whatsoever. Wake seems wide awake tonight, and same thing starts again.
How come everybody stopped hitting at the ame time?

Don't sweat it, game thread posts don't count in your total.... However your concern about the offense is quite valid.

Coco Crisp may be the worst hitter in baseball. Get one of those AAA kids up. They might suck, too. That's OK. Just do something.

The team came off a tight losing effort against the Yankees then jumped on a plane to play Monday night clear across the country. The Sox are in a funk plain and simple. They're a bit weary right now.

Anyone who isn't concerned at this point isn't paying attention. These team looks dead--flat. The pendelum has swung. They lost two heartbreakers in a row. The Yankees are now winning.
Too many people took things for granted so far this season. The division race is not over.
Another double play.

It's sad that Wakefield hasn't worked on developing a second pitch in the last 15 or so years.
