Does anybody know if Manny is seriously hurt? If he's just sore, that's as good of a pinch-hitter as we can wish for, but if he's hurt... no good.

Wrist is bruised, scheduled day off anyway. Not sure if he's available to pinch-hit, but shouldn't be more than a game or two.

Why does Coco try to put the ball in play at all with a 3-1 count leading off the inning and down by a run? Let him take. Doesn't he realize just how sucky a hitter he is?
Somewhere in this world there is hedgehog excrement that has more value than Coco Crisp.

Unfortunately, I don't believe there is monkey excrement worth $36 million over these next 4 yrs. I don't believe all the monkey poop in the world is, in fact.

Tavarez triples on a line drive to deep center field.
Coco Crisp pops out to 2B.
Julio Lugo pops out to SS.
Tavarez steals home.
That's exactly whats gonna happen.
Edit-And apparently Coco and Lugo will shift places in batting order. ...

Well, on a side note, Renteria went 3-5 today with a HR and 4 RBIS, OC is batting .333, and Hanley's batting .321. On the bright side, Nomar's only hitting ~55 points higher than Lugo.

This is an excellent point, and also argues why Youks should be hitting third while Papi should hit 4th tonight (as opposed to vice versa). If you get anyone on base tonight with this line-up, you need to drive them in b/c who knows who else can get it out of the infield.

One would think WMP>Hinske with the bat.
Also, I agree Youks should probably bat 4th but they need to split up the auto-outs. In fact, with Manny out why are they sitting Pedroia?
Nvm, no matter what, this isn't our night. Youks seems to have cooled off a lot.
