High pressure to our southeast is still controlling our weather. There's a upper level disturbance off to the north and west, and it's likely to stay to our north all day. As of 11 am, there were some cumulus forming west of Boston, but only high thin cirrus reported at Boston. As the day warms, cumulus are likely to form and there could be some convection, but the lower air doesn't have a lot of moisture, so the probability of thundershowers or rainshowers is low. We could get a late afternoon thunderstorm in some areas, but it is summer, and that's what happens in the summer. The weather will not affect the game other than a possible rain delay.

It'll be in the upper 70s to low 80s at game time, but it is likely to cool off after sundown. The wind is south now, but it looks like it should come around from the west by evening. That's blowing out, but the winds should stay under 15 mph after sundown, but could gust into the 20s in the early evening.

I heard yesturday on the radio that a player on Toronto got knocked out. I watched most of the post-game, some ESPN, and today's pre-game and I am seeing nothing. Any news about that? Did it look bad?

Manny has 6 of his homers in games that Tavarez starts. It's half of his total. I could amount the avg too, but it's too tiring. But it seems quite good.

Well MAnny better learn how to hit without Tavarez's pitching because he sucks and needs to be pulled from the rotation sooner than later

Wake should be our #5 until his arm falls off; he's earned and deserves that. We need a 4 and I think that Lester could fill that role easily. I know that there is strong rationale for him not being here yet (ahem - cancer recovery), but are they going to wait until next year or not? If not, why wait any longer.

The Drew thing is scary b/c we have no one to replace him. It sucks losing Donnelly for longer, but at least that's eased with the emergence of MDC.
