Game time: 7:05 pm

Scheduled starters: Leo Nunez (no record) v. Tim Wakefield (10-8, 4.47)

The game will be on NESN.

Boston Weather: 2 pm observation at KBOS: Wind out of the east at 8 mph, visibility 10 miles, scattered clouds at 7,500 and 9,500 feet, temperature 78F, DP 56F

Forecast: Warm, with increasing humidity, but it should be dry tonight. There's a seabreeze at KBOS; the reporting stations 10-15 miles inland are reporting winds out of the southwest, and I suspect that is what they'll have at Fenway. It's also in the mid-80s as you go inland, with dew points 2-3 degrees higher than at KBOS. There's a stationery front off the coast to the south, and it's going to move north into NE as a warm front over the next 12-36 hours, and that will bring some rain, but not during the game tonight. Tomorrow...

The Yankees appear (sort of) to have turned the corner (again). In order to win this thing weak opponents need to be crushed. Tonight it continues.
Hank F
Sox are 20 - 21 since the start of June.

Crush KC tonight. The Yanks are heating up. They face Halladay tonight. Maybe we can pick up a game.

Who in the good name of f*** is Leo Nunez?

Rotoworld. Ah, should pay more attention to the Royals.

We should shellack him. That mean's we're going to lose 3-2.

Drew in the 5 hole: .250/.360/.363
Drew leading off: .311/.392/.533

Long overdue. Of course, Coco will be leading off again tomorrow. Or Lugo. Or, I dunno, Pedroia. But I'm predicting Drew gets on base twice tonight.
Ralpho316
Doc Halladay has been iffy this year, I wish the Jays would take tonight...I am not expecting it.

Lets go Wakefield.
Ralpho316
This Nunez kid looks like he should be getting ready for his prom

Holy! Teh Wakefield/Mirabelli combo thru some1 out!!!11

I'd think I'd rather watch paint dry than Wakefield pitch. Doug is done... wait! I eat my words, Belli with a single. 10 big rbi.

Coco still showing signs of life. Come on Julio!
Ralpho316
The site had to go down at the worst possible time, I needed to confide and whine with my friends
bosockboy
Uncle....enough already. Theo, when are we going to quit relying on the Yankees losing? Let's call a spade a spade and admit this lineup needs an RBI guy that Manny may no longer be.

This offense is hemorrhaging us games in the standings.
Ralpho316
Come on Jeremy Accardo!
DesertDirtDog
This is a deeply flawed team, anybody that can't see it is delusional.

Absolutely right. I needed to commiserate with my fellas really badly. Borderline depression right now. The Yanks are 2-2 right now, Bot9... they'll take this one.
8 games. sad.gif

Edit: Never mind, I don't think we could anymore.

Why not? The way our offence is firing we could have spotted 'em another run or two!
RoSox
first of all get Gabbard in the rotation as soon as possible, then get a younger left fielder and move Manny at a base, third base or something.
and no, there's no return.
DesertDirtDog
While were at it, dig a hole and bury Wakefield...

He was pretty pathetic. In his defense, though - one of the balls was a weird ricochet off the wall, came at a very strange angle.

WMP plays left field with all the grace of a mastodon!

Sox Sweep Again
Well, it was a right-handed rookie... but does our advance scouting really suck this much?
