Winning yesterday would have been nice, but unfortunately NY always seems to get their must win games with Pettite on the mound. No excuses today. Our bullpen is fully rested and we can expect to be in theirs with no Chamberlain after the 6th with Clemens pitching. I don't want to go into tomorrow needing a win to avoid a sweep.

That is not good. That sounds like someone is going to the DL. Let's hope it is Kielty and not Manny.

Saw that and I was goingt to post it. The lack of information (almost silence) on Manny's status raises an eyebrow for me.
P.S. Excuse me while I pull my head out of my ass on the post about someone going to the DL. I doubt they would send anyone to the DL because rosters will expand on Saturday. We really won't know how bad it is until Manny does not play for the next few days.

I have a great sense of calm about the game tonight.
The silver lining about losing last night is watching all the a$$clown Yankee fans ordering the Division Champs flag. Watching them crawl back into the hole they came from will be fun.
Enough with the Chamberlain stuff, he has a microscopic sample size and despite how it turned out last night we got the bat on the ball and Papi was just under it right over the middle of the plate. He will get rocked and taken down a few notches…

Try one of the worst in the 30-year history of FA. It's very possible that given the dollars and years in the contract and the questions that existed about him that that contract will rank as one of the worst ever. Theo's a genius, though.
I'm pretty sure I heard Suzyn Waldman say on the radio pre-game show that Clemens has his socks pulled up tonight, so he really means business. I wonder if she actually gets paid to mouth that garbage on the air.

Thanks for reminding me the game is on ESPN2. My night just got a little better.
I have to give it to the Yanks though---they look so confident and they're having better at bats than we are this series (I know ARod k'd, but that was because of Beckett's pure filth). If you were just checking in on this series from outer space, you'd think that the Yankees were the team with the 7 game lead. They look like it.

Geez, I dunno. I think someone from outer space who draws a conclusion about one team being significiantly better than another after watching 10 or 11 innings of baseball should go back to outer space. That's just not how baseball is.

Well fine, but do you not take my point? Who has been the aggressor so far this series? Who has had the good at bats? Which team have run into outs and tapped out to the pitcher in a 3-0 count?
Simply put: which team looks like the best team in the majors? The Red Sox, or the Yankees?
