North Shore lost to Nashua last night in Lynn as the Pride captured the Can-Am title.

With the loss the team in Lynn ceases to exist. It is a shame as it was a nice place to watch a game but lack of parking hurt them.

Nashua may also be history but nothing official yet.

North Shore, which lost three times in finals action during its five-year run, ended its existence after owner Nick Lopardo pulled the plug on the franchise less than two weeks ago.

Actually, John Stabile, the Pride owner has indicated that he is going to keep the team in Nashua for next season. That said, there is no indication that they can fix the attendance problems that have plagued them.

Holman is a nice little park but they are squeezed between Lowell and Manchester.

Lynn spent a small fortune fixing their ballpark and even had a video board. They had the games on 1510 but they just could not draw enough. They maybe headed for Ottawa.

Can-Am would love to play in Montreal but there is no place to play. Quebec City does very well.

Please help me Save the North Shore Spirit baseball team and keep them in Lynn. . The Spirit is the best part of living in Lynn and it's being taken away from us. We love the Spirit
I'm just a kid but I'm not going to let the Spirit go without a fight. I'm so sad thinking I'll never be able to go to another Spirit Game. I have been going to games since was 4. It'll be so sad for the kids that won't have anything to do. I'll miss going to the games with all my friends and seeing the new friends I made at the ballpark. I am so sad and my friends are sad. I have 383 signatures and am still getting them. I was on channel 5 News and in the newspaper. I know we can do this. I've already been on WBZ Radio and Channel 5 News. I think I'm going to be in th Boston globe North but the reporters don't tell people how to find my petition. Anyway this was posted on the CanAm league Website under transactions on September 7, 2007 "North Shore: Exercised the 2008 option on the following players: RHP Jamie Baker, RHP Matt Bishop, RHP Gary Galvez, LHP Brandon Martin, LHP Joey Siak, C Alex Trezza, INF Gilbert Gil, INF Luis Lopez, INF Gary Roche, OF Joe Hough, RHP Ryan Bicondoa, RHP Derek Drage, LHP Donny Langdon, RHP Dennis Robinson, C Allen Mottram, INF Vic Davilla, INF Josue Lopez, INF Jerson Perez, INF Mike Torres and OF John Welch." SO WE HAVE A TEAM!
And in the Daily Item Mayor Chip Clancy said he would extend the lease on Fraser Field SO WE HAVE A FIELD
Lets do everything we can to bring the Spirit back in 2008
