Cora in and hitting second, per Globe. I'd be laughing hysterically if I was a fan of any other team. You just can't make this up.
SoxAroundTheWorld
Just do it. Destiny remains under our control. Win!
BillyJo
We should not be surprised when Tito starts punting games. There was no doubt that Cora would be starting as soon as we clinched a playoff spot. Besides, Cash will be in the line-up also!

Let's hope that if we are still playing in 2 weeks that Tito won't be trotting out his Sunday line-up.

Cheap Char
Let's win today and lower the number. If Wakefield sucks today, let's not count on him in the playoffs. I hope this is the last of Cora and Cash.
MFLetou
Fox Sports Tampa. Further reason to focus on the Pats today.
Jermaine Van Buren Fan
I cant wait for the Cora bunting show, although he's probably a worse hitter than Edwin Jackson is a pitcher.
Curll
Nice AB from Jacoby, despite the out.
SoxAroundTheWorld
Delmon Young takes Wake deep, setting off a long exchange by the Rays announcers on why Young is a better ROY candidate than Pedroia. Doubt it. Timmah not looking so great so far...
Curll
Delmon is a much, much, much better player than Pedroia.

But, this year, Pedro is ROY.
MFLetou
Turns out it might be a good afternoon for a nap.
Jermaine Van Buren Fan
Get on Jacoby - we need to clear the pitcher.
Ralpho316
Yah I want NOTHING to do with Wakefield in the playoffs
samba guy
I hope next time Delmon's up Wake hits him with that 70 MPH heater of his. That ought to show him a lesson.
Cheap Char
We have 1 hit against this guy?

He seems like he has the stuff to be a great pitcher if he's on. The guy can change speeds very well.

His record sucks.
RSNLoyalty04
This whole Patriots Red Sox at the same time TWO WEEKS IN A ROW is royally ****ing pissing me off. **** changing channels every five seconds.
Ralpho316
Well a couple of years ago Edwin Jackson was the #1 rated prospect in baseball, so this "stuff" he has, is legit.

The Sox offense on the other hand, is not at times
RSNLoyalty04
Jesus Wakes is looking rough today. Come on buddy - lets get out of this and do some damage.

Edit - WONDERFUL. Speak of the devil. Back to the Pat's!
Ralpho316
As much as Lester is unproven, I do not want Wakefield anywhere near a team in the playoffs. We need to just to win, not give up 4 to the Rays.

At least we have Randy Moss
Jermaine Van Buren Fan
czar man...you have no idea how pumped I am to re-up a 41-year old with less than 200 innings of a 98-and-declining ERA+ with shitty and declining peripherals.

I'm starting to agree with this perspective - I just don't have any confidence his knuckler can dance consistently...
Ralpho316
TAKE HIM OUT!
RSNLoyalty04
This umpire needs a hit to the face right now for that lack of a call.
Pedro El Grande
Hopefully we wont have the Wakefield-Mirabelli duo next season. :crossingfingers:
RSNLoyalty04
RALLY TIME BOYS!

MFLetou
Yeah these guys are DEAD today. Maybe they went out and celebrated at some of Tampa's well known adult establishments or something last night. Wow.
Martin and Woods
Terrific play action fake by Brady......leads to another Pats TD. Should Brady hit in the four spot so Manny can take the rest of his contract off?

Brady was drafted by the Padres. whistle.gif

Now is the time Big Fella.
Martin and Woods
Another infield hit by Ortiz. The man is a blazzah'.
Cheap Char
C,mon Drew earn your coin! How about a gap double from COCO?
Martin and Woods
Lift the ball, Crisp! ( prove me wrong about you being a poor situational hitter)
nick898
He just proved you wrong.

One run game!
Ralpho316
Hisnke you suck
Cheap Char
Nothing worse than an easy double play with the bases loaded.

Thanks Hinske!
Martin and Woods
MFY is up 4-3 after 5.
Cambridge
We might be the only team in baseball who doesn't a right-handed pinch-hitting option to use in a key situation....in September with expanded rosters!
Martin and Woods
Another Brady to Moss TD
BillyJo
What a joke of an offense.

The idea that Hinske, Mirabelli and Cora are all in this line-up is really, really frustrating. Fortunately, if we can hold the line, we still have a chance against the Rays bullpen.

Another Brady to Moss TD

Moss barely looks like he's trying.

Right now, they're unstoppable. Unfortunately, the SB is 4 months away.
Ralpho316
I still think Dustin McGowan is gonna be a star, but the offense he faced against Boston is/was nothing compared to NY's right now.

Still. He shouldnt have sucked today
BillyJo
Yanks opening it up over Toronto, 6-3.

(I really need Miami to rally over the Jets this afternoon, BTW)

Agreed, he's gonna be good. So is Marcum. Unfortunately, McGowan sucked today and Marcum got hurt yesterday.
Just figures.

Have to believe, though, that the last 6 games of the season will favor us, if only because we're at home and the MFYs are on the road.
Ralpho316
YES LETS GIVE THE RUNS BACK! WOO HOO
Cheap Char
Sad.
Martin and Woods
At least Tavarez didn't roll the ball to home.
